So You Think You Can Dance 5, July 2: This May Not Last But This is Now
by Jenn Brasler
…So love the dancers you’re with, because two of the top 14 dancers will be leaving shortly. Which couple makes a surprise appearance in the bottom three for the first time? Will a pair on the hot tamale train be derailed by a lack of votes? And will Nigel uphold last week’s threat to cut Vitolio (right, with Karla) if he was placed in the bottom three again?
The Bachelorette 5: Who Will Make the Final 3?
by Janie Holtz
This week on The Bachelorette, Jillian’s final five men took her home to meet their friends and family. In Wes’ (right) case, he also introduced her to his band. With the surprise return of Ed, it was two men, rather than one, who were sent home – namely Michael and Jesse. Four men remain and will accompany Jillian on exotic overnight dates in Spain. Who is likely to survive another rose ceremony and who is likely to be sent home brokenhearted? It’s weekly prediction time.
America's Got Talent 4, July 1: If You've Seen It Once
by Tyler Sandersfeld
The auditions continue, but the originality seems to be lacking. Not only are the acts becoming more and more dime-a-dozen, but the editing makes successes and failures obvious one second in. Can a breakdancer from Oregon provide this show with much-needed uniqueness?
So You Think You Can Dance 5, July 1: How Bizarre
by Jenn Brasler
Something strange is happening. Actually, a lot of strange things are happening. A number of the dancers wind up with their own styles – though some of them live up to expectations better than others – while one underdog couple is seemingly hamstrung with the dreaded quickstep. Maybe it has something to do with Brian Friedman’s (right) alien invasion?
America's Got Talent 4, June 30: Ad Nauseam
by Tyler Sandersfeld
Some of the good acts in this episode could really surprise you. Or at least they could have if NBC hadn't shoved them down our gullets through the commercials. We've seen the chicken catcher, the super-leaning magician (right), and the 62-year-old dancer impress the crowd already, but what about a really short librarian and a light-bulb eater?
The Bachelorette 5, Episode 7: Return of the Bachelors
by Heather Fidler
Chapter Seven of Princess Jillian’s fairy tale has her leaving her ivory tower. She journeys throughout the land for her Prince Charming. The problem for Jillian is that the men in her life keep coming back! What will dashing pilot Jake have to say about being cast aside? Who else might be knocking on Jillian’s door?
Here Come the Newlyweds 2, Episode 6: You are Feeling Very, Very Sleepy
by Jennifer Tsao
Last week, the always funny Iengs were voted out. Now that we are down to only four couples, will the competition heat up? Jennifer is here to tell you.
The Next Food Network Star 5, Episode 4: Gall-American
by Tyler Sandersfeld
With this episode's all-American theme, what better challenge for the stars-to-be than to create dishes according to regions and states? Who undercooks a turkey burger? Who gets a baking sheet to the face? Can Jeffrey (right) continue his front-runner status with a combination of lobster and blueberries?
So You Think You Can Dance 5, June 25: I Don’t Like Thursdays
by Jenn Brasler
Cat hates Thursdays, but not as much as the dancers who wind up in the bottom three. This week all six of them are repeat offenders, which means they should know what to expect and how important it is to perform a spectacular solo. Will two of those offenders be first-time couple Kayla & Kupono (right)?
I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! – The Grand Finale and Crowning of a Winner
by Jeff Friend
Tonight! The finale of “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!” We have three celebrities left – John Salley, Lou Diamond Phillips, and Torrie Wilson. They’ve outlasted 10 other celebrities, three RNO recappers, and the state of Illinois. Which one will be King or Queen of the Jungle? We find out right now.
America's Got Talent 4, June 24: Vice Is Nice
by Tyler Sandersfeld
The weirdness and wonder continue in Seattle and Miami. We see a mother of two in a catsuit, a bouncer doing the splits, and a dancer wearing little more than a few flowers. One of them actually advances to Vegas. Can you guess which one? Also, what does the product shown to the right (or the lack thereof) have to do with this recap?
Top Chef Masters, Episode 3: Universal Appeal
by Chris Harris
Four new culinary pros find themselves working as street vendors at Universal Studios Hollywood. But unlike their location, the ingredients they’re working with most definitely do not have universal appeal. Can even these kings of the kitchen make pigs’ ears and cow guts attractive to the theme park crowd? Can Ludo Lefebvre (right) beat Master of Mexican Rick Bayless at his own game? Which chef gets to slip someone the tongue – sort of? The answers are inside!
So You Think You Can Dance 5, June 24: Bringing Up the Rear
by Jenn Brasler
This week we enter Bizarro World without any warning. Up is down! Black is white! Ade and Brandon want to work behind the scenes! One of last week’s hottest couples is… not so hot! Randi’s (right, with Evan) butt is running away with the show! Wait, what?
The Bachelorette 5: Who Will Make the Final 4?
by Janie Holtz
Last week, Heather took a stab at predicting the final five (although we expected a final six), but this week it’s back on Janie’s shoulders to name the expected fantasy date recipients. Can Wes truly keep Jillian wrapped around his little finger, or will Jake’s return spoil it all? Can Michael and Jillian find a romantic spark before it’s too late? Will it be Jake, Ed, or Wes’ imaginary girlfriend that makes a surprise appearance at next week’s rose ceremony? Like sands through the hourglass, the soap opera fairy tale continues, and these are the dates of their lives. Oh, and it’s weekly prediction time.
America's Got Talent 4, June 23: Just In the Nick of Time
by Tyler Sandersfeld
The show where anything goes comes back for the summer. In this premiere, we'll see a small woman lift a big man, a man walk with backward feet, and the President sing James Brown. Can anyone become the next Susan Boyle (right), and follow it up by actually winning?
I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! – June 23: Evictions and Awards
by Kari Kennedy
It’s the next to last show of the season and two more celebrities are sent home. The cast reminisces about their time in Costa Rica, then passes out a few hilarious awards amongst themselves. Who is voted to receive the “Do You Know Who I Am?” award? And which member of our cast has won nine of twelve challenges?
Here Come the Newlyweds 2, Episode 5: You Are What You Eat
by Jennifer Tsao
We’re down to five couples and they all seem to genuinely like one another. So does that mean strategy will come into play in this week’s vote? Will the Iengs (right) be the ones making a play or being played? And how do a nice brunch followed by a not-so-nice minivan packing spree play into everything?
I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! – June 22: The Plot Thickens…
by Chris Harris
It’s the last week of the show and the jungle crowd is getting smaller all the time. Another two celebrities leave over the course of this episode, while one more returns to camp… but who? How do the show’s resident dads get to celebrate a very special Father’s Day in Costa Rica? What has everyone badmouthing Stephen Baldwin (right)? Who strips down to their unmentionables for a little alone time with their special jungle friend? The answers are inside!
The Bachelorette 5, Episode 6: Crazy Train
by Heather Fidler
Chapter Six of Princess Jillian’s fairy tale is a magic coach ride… Okay, it’s a train trek through the gorgeous mountains of British Columbia. Someone will not complete the journey and will be left by the side of the tracks. Could it be the end of the road for Resident Lothario Wes (right)?
The Next Food Network Star 5, Episode 3: Barefoot Contamination
by Tyler Sandersfeld
Quiz time: Which of the following is the most impossible? A) Preparing a three-course dinner for 12 with a $60 budget; B) Turning used marinade into uncontaminated sauce; C) Trusting Teddy (right) after last week's dilemma with Melissa; D) Eddie surviving another near-elimination; E) Michael's hair. Find out inside.
