The Apprentice 2, Episode 12 Extras: Everybody Hates Jenniferby Jenn Brasler -- 11/29/2004
View Printable version of this article As in the episode, we see Apex waiting for Mosaic to return from the boardroom. Of course, they're under the impression that three people will be coming back. Silly Apex. Kelly wonders why they're waiting for Mosaic to come back before they eat, since Apex outnumbers Mosaic. That's an interesting argument. Sandy and Andy return and explain that Trump fired both Wes and Maria. Everyone's shocked. Sandy said that she started to leave after Maria was fired, but then Trump dropped the bombshell. She says that he swung "a right and a left." Andy and Sandy both say that they started to leave before Trump could change his mind and fire anyone else. Sandy realizes that someone from Apex will come over to join Mosaic, so that the teams will both have three members. It's a whole new game now. The final six toast, saying, "Then there were six." Sandy asks if anyone thought she would still be around for the final six. Ivana admits that she didn't. Sandy interviews that she's the only one left without a college education, but so far it hasn't hurt her. It's all about performance. Kevin says that Trump is looking for leaders. Either Kelly or Andy says, "We're all winners." Well… okay, but only one of you is going to get the job. Apex holds a brainstorming session for the Pepsi task. Ivana says that they're coming up with ideas about the bottle and only have four or five hours. They do some drawings and we learn that it was Ivana's idea to "punch" Edge on the bottle. Kelly talks about putting a hole in the bottle. Kevin says that they can talk about taking the calories out of Pepsi, which is what the hole can symbolize. The group starts designing, and Kevin says that they're using a combination of everyone's ideas. He thinks that they have a good team, and that if they "set the bar at perfection," they'll win. Kelly asks what's "buzzworthy" about the hole. Ivana says that it's about what gets put in the hole. Kelly mentions movie tickets and Ivana tells him to write that down. Kelly: "Okay, Jenn." Ivana laughs and asks if he just called her Jenn. Kevin says that they work better without Jennifer. Kelly jokes that in a minute, Ivana will take credit for his idea. Ivana and Kevin join in, saying that the movie tickets were Jennifer's idea and they stole it from her. Kevin explains that whenever anyone repeats something, misses the point, or just does something stupid, they call it "being Jenn." Kevin suggests putting sporting tickets in the hole and Ivana suggests concert tickets. Kelly says, "Sporting tickets," and Kevin and Ivana point out that Kevin already said that. Kevin says that Kelly "pulled a Jenn." Kelly good-naturedly tells him to shut up. He interviews that they've pulled together because they have a common enemy. Hating Jennifer has strengthened their bond. Aww, isn't that sweet? Mosaic is nearing the end of their work and Sandy is working on their label. Jennifer looks at it and asks why the word "Edge" is slanted. Sandy says that it's just an option. Jennifer interviews that Sandy has certain strengths but not necessarily the judgment to make a good label. She thinks that the one Sandy has put together looks unprofessional. Jennifer brings Andy over and says that she's worried about visibility. Andy agrees that the word "Edge" looks off-center. They start rearranging everything. Andy says that Jennifer gave better suggestions and was more helpful than Sandy. Sandy speaks up that she liked the label the way it was. Andy thinks that Jennifer is stronger creatively. Sandy is upset that, after the hard part of the task was over, Andy and Jennifer started messing around with the label. Andy thinks that using Jennifer more than Sandy was his best decision. Mosaic heads into the room for their presentation, stunned by the amount of people there. Andy starts off, explaining the task and talking about the soft drink world. People are laughing, for some reason. Maybe because they saw the bottle. Sandy interviews that Andy was a pro and knew what he was doing. She calls him a "genius" at public speaking. Andy talks about Edge being the best of both worlds. He interviews that he was in an exciting environment and didn't want to leave. The presentation was in the "ultimate debate room." Sandy talks about the game piece (the cap) and Jennifer talks about the in-store globe. Andy tells the room that it's a simple concept and repeats that Edge is the best of both worlds. Apex heads home in a van after their win. Ivana is happy that they got to eat and sleep while working on the task. Kelly talks like a political candidate, saying, "I promise to bring you, as PM, eating and sleeping." Kevin says that nothing matters but winning. Kelly channels Vince Lombardi with, "Winning isn't everything, it's the only thing." Kevin still thinks that they have a great team and that one of their rewards was beating Jennifer. 1 2 3 4 Next-->View Printable version of this article |
