Previously on Ashlee: Ryan gave Ashlee a puppy. She had a session with a new vocal coach and got ready for her first tour.

Ashlee is embarking on the first day of two weeks of rehearsal for her tour. She says that she gets the chance to change some things and add some songs, like covers. She’s going to be covering the Pretenders’ “Brass in Pocket” and Blondie’s “Call Me.” Ashlee says that it’s important to have a good flow in her set list.

Ashlee sings a new version of “La La,” which makes it more like a song you’d hear in a ‘50s nightclub. Tina likes this version. Steph seems to, too, since she’s dancing along.

Another day, another rehearsal. This time Ashlee’s having problems with her in-ear monitor. She says that she usually just wears one, but she’ll get a better mix with two, so she has to adjust to them. It’s harder than she thought. During a break, Steph shows Ashlee a new webpage designed by a fan; it contains drawings and letters from fans.

Ashlee runs through her show for Joe. Joe says that she sounds good. He then tells the band that it’s important that they all do well because the world is watching them. He wants them to concentrate and help Ashlee through everything. He adds that he doesn’t want to have to cancel even one date, because that will make Ashlee look bad. Dude, just say, “Don’t screw up” and move on.

Ashlee heads to a dress rehearsal, where she’s going to see her stage design for the first time. She thinks it’ll be overwhelming. When she sees everything, she wonders why the front is elevated, since she was told it would be an hourglass design. She’s afraid that the stage looks like a carnival. Ashlee and her designers decide to take some things down to make the design less carnival-like. Ashlee says that she’s becoming more assertive, since she knows what she likes and what she doesn’t like. Tina tells Ashlee that she needs to “make a punch” when she comes onstage. She assures her that the design doesn’t look like a circus.

There are still problems with the sound mixes and ear monitors. Tina warns Ashlee not to get too stressed out, or she might have problems with her voice. After a somewhat stressful rehearsal, Lucy tells Ashlee that while they’re on tour, Ashlee can yell at her or punch her if she needs to. Ashlee says that everything is stressful, but it will turn out all right.

Ashlee and Steph are about to head to the L.A. venue for the first concert of her tour. They go over the schedule. Ashlee says that this is a big deal and the venue is big. She sees her tour bus, which is also big. Tina tells her that she’ll come see her for a week while she’s on tour, then come back home. Ashlee says that she shouldn’t come out for weeks at a time and Tina pretends to think that Ashlee doesn’t want her to visit at all.

Ashlee learns that the venue has been sold out. She doesn’t think that it’ll be full at all, and admits that she’s a little insecure. Tina tells her that people have paid $50 to come see her, so they’ll show up. Ashlee gets her hair and makeup done as we learn that Joe has a problem with a guitar solo Zack and Braxton are supposed to perform. Apparently he thinks it’s boring and says that a lot of people agree. Ashlee wants to let the guys play it anyway, but Joe tells her that if it goes badly, it’ll be on her, not them. Ashlee wonders why there’s so much drama today.

In the hallway, Zack asks what’s supposed to happen. Ashlee first tells him and Braxton to figure out something themselves, then tells them to play the original single. She wants them to have their moment to “rock out.” Steph jokes that it was nice working with the guys.

Jessica and Nick, as well as some friends of Ashlee’s, arrive for the concert. Excited fans scream. The band does their weird ninja chant backstage to get themselves ready. Ashlee’s nervous, of course. The audience is full. She’s excited and ready.

The concert begins, and everything seems to go very well. She does an acoustic song and says that she wasn’t nervous about it, since it was a chance to prove that she sings her own stuff. She does the vampy, nightclub version of “La La,” then rocks it out. Ashlee voices over that the band is amazing. She says that she’s glad she started her journey as a singer, because it feels amazing to have reached this point. We see a montage of moments from this season and last. Ashlee says that she’s had an incredible year. It had highs and lows, but she has no regrets. She learned not to look back. At the end of the concert, she thanks all of her fans.

‘Bye, Ashlee! Um… thanks for the hoe-down?
