This is the second of two back-to-back half-hour episodes of Caesars 24/7 airing tonight. Read on to get the lowdown of the second episode. You can read about the first episode here.

What do we have to look forward to in this episode? Not buying shots, wife swapping on a bet. Toss in a toga, a cake, some flower girls and a couple more tales, and we’re ready to go!

A group of long-time friends (two young couples) arrive at Caesars after some bar time elsewhere. There’s NYC officer Nick and his wife Nicole, and friends Dan and Tracy. Nick says, “If you met my wife for the first time, you might think she’s annoying.” Nicole says Daniel and Tracy are “reserved,” while Tracy says that Nick and Nicole “are always right in each other’s face.”

A bet develops. Can each husband hang out with the other’s wife? Nothing sexual! How long will it be before someone snaps? The stakes are dinner and a show. Methinks Dan is in major doo-doo here. Tracy says, “The point of trading is to show the grass is never greener on the other side.”

So, Dan and Nicole will spend time together, as will Nick and Tracy. It’s a cross-over, got it? Maybe write it down, it gets confusing. Plus, so many stories tonight, lots of switching from group to group is going on.

Mario Santos manages the Seahorse Lounge, which he describes as “the” meeting place at Caesars Palace. One patron is Perry, a radio personality from Florida who came to Vegas to escape Hurricane Frances. He’s phoning in remote reports from Vegas, very funny! Too bad we never come back to Perry.

Also present are girlfriends Jody and Maritza are in town to celebrate their mutual birthdays, and if Jody meets a guy, that’s all right too! I’m thinking, both these attractive gals ought to have no trouble meeting all the guys they want.

We have already met Jenna Ball of Wedding Services in a very recent episode. Surprises are not her friends, but it’s her job to deal with them. We also learn there’s a bakery at Caesars, and they bake their own wedding cakes.

In the bakery, we meet Elaine Albright, a cake baker who starts work at 3AM. Girl, I’m still up at 3AM, and here you are at work already! We see her both baking and decorating cakes. She tells us that on an average day, they use 500 pounds of butter and 2500 pounds of sugar, and even more on the weekends!

For some reason, there are just two of them there in the cake shop on weekends. Why, if that’s the busy time? She tells us she often works 16-hour days – no wonder. Nice overtime, but bad management.

At any rate, a bride who was going to bring her own cake has decided she isn’t happy with her bakery. Suddenly, she needs a cake from Caesars… in 45 minutes. Nice planning, bride – will a cupcake do?

Mike Morreale is a bartender at Caesars, and he’s serving Scott. Scott, slurring his words, is a self-confessed “cheap bastard” and is determined not to buy two girls a shot, unless it’s the cheap stuff. He admits he doesn’t have much of a way with the ladies and says, “I strike out as much as I strike rich.” I wonder why?

The next story doesn’t begin very clearly, but from the website I can tell you that a computer company is holding a party for a customer at Caesars. The Special Events team has gotten involved, because “A Royal Entrance” has been requested – Caesar will announce one dignitary, then he is to be carried in on a litter with four bearers.

The bearers show up at 6AM to get into costume. A check at 6:30 determines that no one knows where to find the litter. Some humorous but unusable suggestions are put forth. VP of Entertainment Brad Scot says, “There’s no problems, only solutions… and ulcers.” Dignitary Bob arrives… still no litter. The event starts at 7:30.

Back to our wife-trading couples, and Task One: shopping together. Dan and Nicole find a nice dress, and they are offered a deal - $300 dress for $200, she wants it for $175. Dan says to the haberdasher, “I’ve been though this all day. The best thing to do is – just agree.” And he does!

Nick and Tracy also shop together. Nick sees a dress that’s 70% off. It might work as loungewear, I can’t tell the material from TV. Tracy won’t even try it on, but Nick buys it anyway.

Nick thinks Dan doesn’t know how good he has it with his own wife, Tracy. Nick says, “He needs a taste of what it’s like to have a girl that’s a little more aggressive, and I don’t think he can handle the pressure.”
