Big Brother 5, July 17 Live Feeds: Girls Interruptedby Sting7 -- 07/18/2004
View Printable version of this article Good morning houseguests! Diane wakes up saying she dreamed of twins, and Lori on a surfboard in high heels. Scott assures Holly that he and she would have hooked up if Jase hadn’t gotten there first. Will asks him if he could pick her up at a bar. Scott isn’t sure, he hasn’t met anyone like Holly before (none of us have!). Jase tries to steal a few more winks and is roughly re-awakened by BB with, “I said it’s time to get up for the day!” Jase gives the surfer peace sign. Jase discusses pranks he and his friends have pulled on each other and others. They all seem to involve gastro-intestinal functions. We’ll leave it at that. Scott tells everyone that when he shops in Pittsburgh, people stop him and ask for autographs. When he leaves, Drew, Diane, and Will laugh at him. Lori and Karen discuss that Scott sometimes forgets to flush. Ew. Michael seems to be feverish, he says he’ll be fine, but everyone seems worried about him. Michael says he maintained a uni-brow all the way through high school. Scott gives Drew a guided tour through his wardrobe, including the $175 polyester tank top he got in South Beach. (I’m beginning to wonder if Scott or Holly is the more shallow). Karen firmly believes dark chocolate has the same healing properties as a glass of wine with dinner. Drew tells Marvin that he overheard Lori saying she doesn’t think anyone would save her. Marvin says if they do, it’s taps for him. Drew doesn’t think Marvin has anything to worry about. Now. In the midst of this is the POV Competition and we go to the fish. When it’s over, we see an annoyed Scott, with Jase and Michael. Jase won the POV, and Scott sounds like he’s pissed that Marvin picked Drew to compete for him, and Lori picked Karen to compete for her, and Holly picked Jase. So, Scott didn’t get to play in the competition and he’s in full pout. Jase says that Holly has screwed herself so badly, she could easily be evicted and the Horseman will be stuck with the full power of the Spice Girls. They have to put up Karen and Will in Holly’s place. Jase takes his reasoning to Marvin, who seems to be on board. Marvin even suggests putting Michael up instead, which does not get much reaction from Jase. Or “Bootylicious” or “’licious” which is Marvin’s oh-so-inappropriate name for Adria/Natalie. Jase says Will is insignificant. Later, Jase and Scott tell Adria/Natalie they are pulling Holly. They are sure Karen, Lori and Will are aligned. “No!” Adria/Natalie feigns (or maybe the twin of the moment wasn’t briefed on that!). Oh yeah, we’re super smart says Scott. Adria/Natalie successfully stifles a laugh. Scott says if he doesn’t get some protein soon, he’ll start tearing stuff up. Scott, to the Diary Room! (twice) Meanwhile, in the Cloud room, Will, Lori, and Jennifer have a power summit of their own. Lori is sure Jase is going to pull Holly, adding he’s a p-whipped little fag (such language from such a pretty girl!). Will says they should tell Jase that if he uses it, he’s a dead man walking. Jennifer is not so sure he’d use it, he’d be going against Scott and Marvin. Will says he’s playing balls out now. He doesn’t care if it makes him a target, he can’t handle Scott and Jase anymore. Diane comes in and says things are about to get interesting. They wonder if Scott is going through protein shake withdrawal. Will says if he gets nominated in place of Holly, the Horseman can then decide who they’d want out. It’s a scenario they have to get ready for. Karen starts complaining that they don’t have name-brand sugar, which ignites a bitch session among the houseguests, and we get Fish Cam for a long time. I’m guessing they are being chewed out. Jase wants to read something to Holly, and it’s inspired him to give all his money to charity if he wins. Holly continues to assert that she is pro-animal, she is pro-people too, but people know how to go to shelters and things, but animals don’t know to do that (that almost made sense!). Scott comments that Mike made such a big deal out of the DNA strand in the backyard (first food competition) and it all meant was that Michael and Jennifer were related. (It was right in his face, and he missed it.) Marvin and Lori have a pow-wow. Marvin reiterates what he said before, that Lori has the intellect to win the whole game and she is absolutely a threat. She doesn’t use her sex appeal on people and it would be very easy to vote her the winner at the end. Holly, he thinks, is working some elaborate act on everyone. Marvin says he didn’t come here to get an agent or get off on being on TV, he came for the money. Lori comments that Mike told her to watch Marvin, he’s sharp. Marvin says the same about Mike, which is why he was glad Mike went first. He does confide that he is pissed off that Jase looks sure to save Holly. Lori says why not put up Jase? Marvin reminds her that as POV holder, Jase is immune. Holly is worried that BB will go back on their word that they won’t show her fracas with Jase (they didn’t), and Scott seems to say they won’t show his with Diane either (when did that happen, that night in bed?). Karen and Jennifer fret about the POV. Karen says she is sitting on so much information. If they last this week, maybe they can use what they know to take down the Horseman by swaying the swing voters. Holly, talking to Jase, says Scott told her their argument was going to air (the opposite of what he actually said). Lori is freaking about being nominated. She actually trashes Jase to Holly. Holly says she’s not assuming anything with Jase anymore. Lori then says Holly and Jase could have a great relationship, but Jase keeps screwing it up. Holly says she knows (oh, Lori’s trying a little mind-eff, to get Holly to blow up on Jase again so he won’t save her!). Holly goes to Jase and says do whatever you want, just be careful. If saving her is going to cause waves, maybe he shouldn’t. Jase tells her that he thinks they have five votes, but she could still go home Thursday. This seems like a newsflash to Holly. She says she is being naïve and trusting. Jase sounds pretty sure that he is going to pull Holly. He says that the person he puts up in her place will secure the numbers for the Horsemen. Holly says she doesn’t want any specifics. She’s not as dumb as we might think! Holly says she wants to be sure that their thing is not just a house thing. Jase says he wants them to “hang out” in the outside world. Holly makes reference to something she said about it being a unanimous vote that Will took wrong. She’s afraid of being misunderstood so much. Lori seems to have resigned herself to her exit. She’s begun campaigning to go, just don’t make her look like an ass.
