Last Comic Standing 3 – The Final Episode is Back On!

It is October 7, 7:30 pm and the RNO offices have just received word that NBC has been swamped with protest emails and phone calls complaining about the cancellation of Last Comic Standing 3 before the final episode was filmed.

Due to the "heavy backlash from the fans," according to a source close to the show, NBC has un-cancelled LCS3 and has given the go ahead for filming of the final episode. At the moment, the plans are only to do a half-hour “reveal” episode instead of the full hour that was originally promised. However, on the upside, that is still more than no episode at all.

An NBC executive would only confirm that the finale was being shot, and details of the airdate are still being worked out.

While it is possible that the episode will air on either Comedy Central or even Bravo, the official NBC.com website for the program has dropped the banner stating the winner would be revealed during the Father of the Pride marathon, and instead it simply says “Next Tuesday – Winner Announced!” Thus, it looks like LCS3 has gotten back at least a half-hour of time on the NBC schedule for next Tuesday (although nothing is listed yet on the NBC.com official schedule for October 12 and, as we have mentioned, NBC would not discuss details).
