“I Was Strong Enough to Put Up With Their Mental Abuse” – RealityNewsOnline’s Exclusive Interview with Big Brother 11’s Michele

by David Bloomberg -- 09/10/2009
Michele was perhaps the most “alone” player this season, both strategically and personally. How did she deal with that? What was her opinion on the way her fellow houseguests treated her in the house? What does she think of the way Natalie and Kevin have played the game? Michele answers these questions and more right here!

RealityNewsOnline: Hello, Michele, and thanks for taking the time to talk to us here at Reality News Online. Let’s start with a question that Julie Chen sort of asked last night, but maybe you can go into more detail now: Why do you think several people in the house had such negative personal reactions to you?

Michele: I think people in the house viewed me as weak and someone they could bully and intimidate and I became the target of their frustration.

RNO: What do you think about those people?

Michele: I wish people in the house treated other people with more respect, but I was strong enough to put up with their mental abuse.

RNO: Will you hold any grudges once Big Brother is over?

Michele: I realize that BB is a game and people had to do what they had to do to try to win the money… all’s fair in this battle and I hold no grudges.

RNO: Going back to the beginning, what was your strategy coming into the house?

Michele: I tried to come into the house playing a Renny-type character, house mom… that didn’t work out. Haha.

RNO: How did your strategy change throughout the game?

Michele: I realized that I would be eliminated quickly in the game. As a brain, people were threatened by me. So I had to make unpredictable moves and court both sides to stay in the game.

RNO: How difficult was it from a strategic perspective to be in the house without seeming to have one particular solid ally to rely upon for much of the time?

Michele: Strategically, it was hard because I never knew if I would be on the block so I had to play every HOH and Power of Veto like it was my last chance to stay in the house.

RNO: We saw you have some emotional moments – from that perspective, how difficult was it to be in the house alone, playing a game against people who, in many cases, had banded together?

Michele: It was very difficult for me not to have anyone to talk to, and it was doubly difficult because I am married and outside of the house, have someone that I can talk to and who supports me. I lacked that inside the house.

RNO: What do you think of the way Natalie has been playing the game?

Michele: I believe Natalie has thrown competitions to keep the target off her back, which can be a smart strategy, but she has also been manipulative, mean, and not as honest as she’s claimed to be.

RNO: What about Kevin?

Michele: Kevin has also thrown lots of competitions to get the target off his back. He has also claimed not to backstab anyone, but that is clearly not the case. He’s played a dirty game and has told a lot of lies.

RNO: If you could redo any moment in the house, but one not related to the game, what would it be?

Michele: Brought more clothes… haha… but thanks, Big Brother, for the luxury competition shopping spree.

RNO: And on the other side, what would you do differently game-wise?

Michele: I would have campaigned for Russell to stay, and possibly strike a deal with Kevin so we could target Jeff since Russell’s eviction was the beginning of my downfall.

RNO: Thanks again, Michele!
