“Too Close For Me”

Jay tells us about the reward challenge from the winner’s point of view. He was thrilled to see that he got Troy, Chelsea, and Sabrina on his team because they all work well together. They built up a huge lead, but by the end, Sabrina ran out of gas and the other team managed to make a furious comeback. Fortunately, their final man, Troy, was good at puzzles and they were able to hang on for the victory. But it was just a little too close for Jay.

As for the reward, he says that he was thrilled to see the pizza and he probably ate more than anyone (remember that Mr. “Eight Bowls of Ice Cream,” Mike, was on the other team). Jay only had a couple of sips of the beer because the food was more important. In fact, he says that he ate a whole pizza himself plus three more pieces. And just before they left, he ate all the topping off of the remaining pizza.

He ate so much that he could barely move for the rest of the day and felt like throwing up if he tried. But he was happy for the experience and hopes that he gets to participate in every future food reward.

Jay notes that the food rewards are really important in this game. He sees no reason to spend all of his energy going out and hunting crabs or fishing so that 12 other lazy players can enjoy his bounty. He’ll just concentrate on winning food rewards from now on and then live off of that food for as long as he can.

“I Was In Heaven”

Chelsea tells us about the reward challenge. She notes that she was second on her team to go through the course and she almost beat Leif back to the finish line, and he was the first to go on the other team.

The reward for winning was pizza and beer. She says that she is a big beer drinker and so she was in heaven.

After they finished their pizza, they were given a secret note to open. It said that there was a new idol hidden back at their camp. But there weren’t any clues to its location. Chelsea immediately spoke up and suggested that no one tell anyone from the other team that another idol exists. This would give this team a bigger advantage.

When they returned to camp, Chelsea wanted to go look for the idol but she hasn’t gotten a chance yet. She hopes no one has found it yet.

“I Proved Everyone Wrong”

Alicia tells us that she was the first woman to go under the beam for her team in the reward challenge. She says that her biggest problem was that she’s got a lot of “booty action” going on. Jay first dug the hole and it was fine for him to get through. But when she got there, the hole wasn’t big enough for her thighs and butt to fit through. Rather than dig the hole a little wider and deeper, she just crammed herself in and scraped up her legs pretty badly getting under the bar.

She is happy, though, that her team won the reward. She notes that this is the first food reward that she’s been a part of all game. She was prepared to take advantage of that and ate seven slices of pizza and drank three beers.

She concludes her clip with a message to everyone who said that she could never win a challenge; she has now totally proved them wrong.

“Tarzan’s Underwear”

On the broadcast, we saw Chelsea and Tarzan get into a little tiff over Tarzan’s underwear. In this clip, Chelsea goes into more detail. She says that she had just started a pot of boiling water in order to do her laundry. Without a word, Tarzan walked over and puts his nasty, brown-stained underwear into the pot. It really grossed her out.

She adds that when she looked at Tarzan with disgust, he laughed and smiled as if he knew he shouldn’t have done that but he didn’t care. She then told him that he shouldn’t have done that, and he went off on a tangent about how boiling water will kill off germs and she has nothing to worry about. But, she says, it was still nasty, and she started to dump out the water and start over.

But then Tarzan went off in a rage about how Chelsea was being silly and was wasting water and so on. She took out his underwear and gave it back to him. He then went off on a tirade about how she should never touch his stuff. Rather than get into a big fight, she just washed his nasty underwear and then did her own laundry later.

She thinks that Tarzan is schizophrenic. Some days, he is a joy to be around and is pleasant and has interesting conversations. But then, on other days, he just terrorizes everyone and no one can stand to be around him. And, Chelsea says, it is just so random and he’s always showing the wrong personality at the wrong time.
