Who Wants to Be a Centerfold?

Once Again Fox is showing that they go above and beyond regular TV. As reported yesterday, Fox is having a Celebrity Boxing show next week. Here comes their latest foray in to the reality genre, a show that is slated for a preview in May.

It doesn’t have crazy seats that can burn you or freeze you. It doesn’t have a bunch of beautiful women trying to marry a millionaire or a prince. It has something that is perfect for the 18-35 year old male demographics they want so badly:

Now that I got everyone’s attention, yes, I said Playboy Bunnies. A reality show with bunnies. Not the nice fluffy kind you get for Easter, but the gal kind that men throughout the ages have drooled over.

The show will be a search for the next Playboy Bunny. Once again, the story appeared in the New York Post, though a short blurb about it had appeared on Zap2it.com last month.

According to the Post, the show will follow 12 female contestants who will be living together in the Playboy mansion for two weeks. This is, of course, Playboy magazine founder Hugh Hefner’s humongous home near Beverly Hills, California.

The alleged plot (you don’t think there really is a plot other than to ogle the women do you?) involves the women attending photo shoots as they vie to be the July 2002 Playmate. From 12 the field gets narrowed down to three contestants and, according to the Post, Hugh Hefner himself selected the final winner last week.

And not to disappoint anyone, the winner will be the centerfold, with the two runners-up also featured. However, all 12 contestants will be in a pictorial in the June 2002 issue.

The show was given the working title “Who Wants to be a Playboy Playmate.” Those in the business know a working title is bound to change. No date is given for this show, but keep watching RNO for updates and, of course, the review. I am sure my male colleagues here will stay on top of this story.
