Last week on Dancing with the Stars, Julianne & Adam ran out of steam and were eliminated. Tonight, the remaining couples perform either the samba or rumba. I bet we see a lot of skin!

Tom and Samantha open the show and introduce the couples. As everyone makes his or her way onto the dance floor, I think to myself, “Yep, a lot of skin.”

The first couple to perform is Karina & Mario. For inspiration, Mario visits with Stevie Wonder. Karina tells us that she and Mario are taking the competition one week at a time.

They are doing the samba to “A-tisket A-tasket.” Mario shows us a lot of hip action in his performance. The dance has a subtle sexiness to it. I enjoy it, but I feel like I’m watching I Love Lucy.

Len compliments Mario on the dance, but suggests he work on his style. Bruno calls the dance vigorous and classic. Carrie Ann tells Mario his spirit is smooth. So is a frosty mug of beer. Yum!

All of the judges give Karina & Mario nine points. This totals 27 points for the couple.

Up next are Priscilla & Louis. Priscilla tells us that Louis likes perfection. She also admits to wanting to strangle him sometimes.

They're dancing the rumba to “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face.” Priscilla is wearing a combination of sparkles and fish net. Interesting. She does a split, which impresses the dickens out of me. The dance is beautiful, but Priscilla seems stiff on some of the moves. She also makes a few minor errors.

Bruno points out some of Priscilla’s errors. Carrie Ann tells Priscilla she thought too much. Len says he is disappointed in the dance. Bruno and Carrie Ann tell Len he’s being too harsh. Chaos ensues.

The judges each give the dance a seven. The couple has 21 points.

The next couple is Marissa & Tony. Tony works with Marissa on her hip movement. Marissa says she is nervous. Marissa practices with a headdress on and gets into the character of the samba.

They're performing to a song that I completely miss. Why? Because Marissa shakes and shimmies all over the place, and I’m mesmerized. The dance is fun. I’m impressed with Tony’s choreography and Marissa’s moves. This is the couple’s best dance.

Carrie Ann agrees with me and says this was the best dance from Marissa & Tony. Len gives Tony props for the choreography. (Are they reading this while I write it?) He also says, “More bounce to the ounce.” Bruno tells the couple that everyone loved the dance.

The judges all give the dance eight points. Marissa & Tony have 24 points.

Up now are Cheryl & Cristián. Cristián tells us that they are doing the rumba. Cheryl tells him he looks feminine. The two laugh at the more romantic moves they perform. They even do a cheesy, but fun, soap opera-type scene.

They are dancing to “If You’re not the One.” I fell like Cristián doesn’t have enough to do in the dance. I spend more time watching Cheryl. Cristián’s movements are also rough.

Len says the dance wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t great either. Bruno tells Cristián to work on his technique. Carrie Ann doesn’t feel the dance was super erotic.

Carrie Ann gives the dance a seven. Len and Bruno give it an eight. Cheryl & Cristián have 23 points.

The next dancing duo is Marlee & Fabian. Marlee wants to inspire deaf children this week. She and Fabian go to Mexico to fit needy children with hearing aids. Some of the kids are hearing for the first time. Their actions are sweet. Back in practice, Marlee & Fabian encounter some frustrations. Let’s see if they can overcome them.

They're doing the samba. The dance begins with the couple shaking every thing they have. Some of Marlee’s moves are amazing. Some are miscalculated. She really gives the dance her best effort though.

Bruno calls the dance hot and sexy. He also notes Marlee’s determination and her errors. Carrie Ann calls Marlee a trooper. Len tells Marlee she did an excellent job considering she can’t hear the music.

Carrie Ann and Len give the couple a seven. Bruno gives it an eight. Marlee & Fabian have 22 points.

Ready with their performance are Kristi & Mark. Kristi wants to dim the lights during practice. Ha! She’s a bit uncomfortable with the closeness of the rumba. To make the moment even more uncomfortable, her Kristi’s husband and her kids show up at practice. Can I just say her kids are hella-cute!

They are dancing to “Say What You Need to Say.” Even though the rumba is a slow dance, Kristi and Mark’s version moves. They are graceful and elegant, and the routine tells a story. My boyfriend perks up and says, “They’re going to get goobers.” I’ll be surprised if there isn’t at least one in their overall score.

Carrie Ann tells Kristi she took a risk and it worked. Len calls the dance fabulous. Bruno calls Kristi “yummy-licious.”

Carrie Ann gives the dance a nine while Len and Bruno give it a goober. Kristi & Mark have 29 points.

The next couple to take to the dance floor is Shannon & Derek. Shannon feels that some of her moves make her look goofy. I wish I looked as goofy as she does! She and Derek have a great friendship.

Before they begin to dance, Tom tells us that Derek was in the hospital earlier today with a case of food poisoning. We may see chunks galore.

They are performing the samba to “Pon De Replay.” The dance is sexy and starts out very energetic, but it then seems to slow down. It also lacks pizzazz.

Len tells Shannon that the dance wasn’t good enough for him. Bruno comments on some of Shannon’s errors. Carrie Ann tells Shannon not to give up.

Carrie Ann and Len award the couple with an eight. Bruno gives it a seven. Shannon & Derek have 23 points.

The last couple to perform is Edyta & Jason. Edyta needs Jason to move his hips softly. She also impresses him with some of her moves. It’s funny when he tries to execute them.

They're dancing the rumba to “You’re all I Need to Get By.” Jason begins with his soft hips movements. Impressive. For being a big guy, Jason can move. I’m impressed with his effort.

Bruno tells Jason, “Good job.” Carrie Ann wants Jason to be careful when he lets his arms down. Len doesn’t like Edyta’s poses; he wants to see Jason dance.

Carrie Ann, Len, and Bruno give the dance a nine. Edyta & Jason have 27 points.

Tom and Samantha recap the performances and go through the current standings.
