'Under One Roof' Returns to UPN in Julyby David Bloomberg -- 07/10/2002
View Printable version of this article UPN has put out a press release – and has also noted on its website – that the reality TV show Under One Roof will return this summer, beginning on July 2 at 9/8 Central. Only two episodes of the series were broadcast back in March before the series was put on hiatus (click to see our recaps of episode 1 and episode 2). Now UPN will begin again with the first episode. The series is made up of a total of seven episodes, so there will be five previously-unseen episodes remaining to air after the first two are run again. The show, hosted by Rob Nelson, will follow Buffy the Vampire Slayer -- and hopefully draw some of that popular show’s audience. As a reminder of what the show is about, five families (the Skofields, McRaes, Paganis, Hatmakers, and Distels) are pitted against each other in a house in Fiji with the top prize being the house itself. The families must live together while working against one another, which provides for some interesting situations. In the beginning, two families take over all the bedrooms, so another gets revenge by taking over the laundry room and bathroom. Of course, no family gets along perfectly, so they not only have to compete against each other, but smooth over any differences within their own families as well. If you missed the first two episodes, now is your chance to see them. If you’ve been waiting for the show to come back, you have gotten your wish. And, of course, RealityNewsOnline will continue to cover the show as it moves into its new episodes. David Bloomberg is the Editor of RealityNewsOnline, and can be reached at rno@pobox.com.
