Big Brother 3: Rats in a Cageby Charlie Reneke -- 07/29/2002
View Printable version of this article So, Tonya got evicted and Josh is still in the house. However, it doesn't look like Josh is the Will of Big Brother 3. At CBS.com's popularity polls, Josh has a 15% popularity rating, making him the most hated person in reality TV history. More so then the Guidos, Richard Hatch, Lindsey from Survivor 3, or Sean from Survivor 4. The biggest rival to the crown has been Wil and Tara from Amazing Race 2 with a 17%, but that's two different people. No, Josh is the SINGLE most hated person ever. That's something to be proud of... or commit suicide over.
I do take comfort in knowing that Chiara has already lost Big Brother and doesn't even know it yet. In fact, I hope she stays in the house long enough so that we can all witness her departure courtesy of the LAPD. Because you can't spell dim-witted without "DWI". Jason is clearly the most popular person in the house, with an 86% approval rating. In fact, the closest people to him are Marcellas and Danielle with 65%. That says something about this crop of contestants. Jason is clearly the only guy who isn't back-stabbing and playing dirty. Everyone else is paranoid and scared out of their minds. You'll be hard pressed to find a picture of Jason without a great big smile on his face. He loves it in the house, because while everyone is busy thinning out the ranks and hating each other, he's figuring out the entire game. I bet good money he's in the final four. Chia Pet asked Roddy not to nominate Gerry, because she hates Gerry and wants to see him go. Ohhhhh kay. Likewise, Gerry has a lot of mistrust directed at him from the house. I have no idea why, because everyone has crossed everyone else at some point and we're only three weeks into the game. To accuse someone of being untrustworthy in Big Brother 3 is hypocritical at best. Roddy does trust Gerry and the two cut a deal. Just when I think Roddy has a good handle on the game, he nominates Marcy and Amy, using the tired and true "you're just a pawn, you're not going anywhere" tactic that worked so well for Lori and Tonya. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy that Tonya is out of the house so that she can go back to whatever breast enhancement clinic she crawled out of, but when will these people learn? Roddy thinks he has the problem solved by putting Marcy against Amy and thus removing one vote for her stay out of the process. Of course, Amy's nomination means one vote for Marcy to stay is out of the process too, so all bets are off. Then there is Danielle, who is playing one of the most fickle games ever. She doesn't like Marcy, but didn't mind getting in his ear about who to nominate. In fact, she pretty much doesn't like anyone. Does she (along with everyone else) not realize that once someone is voted out, they get a chance to go home and watch everything bad you said about them? Which brings us to the jury vote at the end of the game. At this time, Jason is the only person who can beat everyone in a jury vote. No doubt about it, if he's a finalist, he wins. Gerry and Josh, it would seem, can't win a jury vote and need to make it to the finals against each other to have a chance. 1 2 Next-->View Printable version of this article |
