Big Brother 3, August 8: And Florida's 25 Electoral Votes Go To…

So here's Julie Chen with her Farrah Fawcett hairstyle giving us a recap of everything that we have pretty much already seen in the recap that preceded the show. I mean, please, CBS. Do we really need all of these recaps? We knew Saturday night that Gerry had nominated Eric and Lisa and we knew it again Wednesday night when you replayed it for us and then we knew it again Thursday night when you reminded us YET AGAIN that Eric and Lisa were up and then you had Julie tell us once again just in case for some odd bizarre reason we missed one of the umpteen opportunities we already had to learn that those two were nominated and Ki-Whore-a didn't use her veto power to save one of their butts. Really now. Is all of this necessary?

So what do they do? They show us once again that The Whore didn't use her power of veto to save them. Did they not hear what I just said? Eric is saying that there is a vibe in the house that work is being done to help him stay in the house and he wants nothing to do with it. At this point let's cue the obligatory picture of Eric lying on the hammock, topless, with his arm behind his head so it shows off his armpit and makes his chest look better. He has no desire to send Lisa home but he if he had the choice to send him or Lisa home, he would have chosen Lisa to go home so he can stay in the game.

Lisa just knows that she and Ki-Whore-a will be friends outside of the house and even she and Eric are planning to hook up with Roddy and Ki-Whore-a after the house and be their own little commune of whiny pretty people. However, The Whore says that none of her friends are like Lisa. She really doesn't like Lisa at all. Lisa, she says, has a way of speaking that sounds weird to her – I guess she thinks it’s whiny, which it kinda is.

Lisa thinks that Danielle and The Whore have her back (although I would not be so sure of that, Miss Thang) and that Marcellas may join them in an effort to keep her in the house. Danielle's goal is to get Eric out of the house. Marcellas even tells Jason he thinks that The Whore is going to go for Eric but Jason lets him in on a little truth that she is going to get Lisa out of the house, which sends Marcellas into fits that include banging his head with his hands.

Now Josh tells The Whore that Lisa hates her and that it came from him overhearing a conversation between Jason and Lisa. He says in the Diary Room that it may or may not be true and we can see that he is totally lying to her. We now flash over to Marcellas, who relays this info to Danielle who then takes it back to The Whore who spills it all to her. The Whore even calls Josh a reliable source and we have to wonder what the Hell she’s thinking – why does she call him reliable when she doesn't even trust him? Anyway, Danielle is listening to Ki-Whore-a deliver the supposed news when Lisa comes over and they rapidly change the topic to how they are internalizing that either she or Eric has to go. All I have to say is, "How transparent is that?" Even I could see through it. But apparently Lisa couldn’t.

So as with last season when Will and Shannon were nominated together, it's time for a date between Lisa and Eric. All I have to say is that Will and Shannon at least dressed better last year. These two look far too casual and I am sure that is how they are in real life – but for a first date? Now, really. So they have their dinner and date and they exchange gifts and such. Lisa gave Eric a picture of the two of them in a hammock and the word "Hi" on the picture. They are even given the bedroom to themselves and you would think that they would just give in and do it, but they just hold each other and make out and remind each other that they are not British and if they were then it would be totally different.
