Big Brother 3: Which Evictee Should Return?

In my article about the most recent twist in Big Brother 3, I asked readers to send me in their opinions on who should come back, in case we, the viewers, actually have a say in things. The response was overwhelmingly for bringing back Amy. Only two people suggested bringing back Tonya - one without giving a reason and one for sexual reasons. And nobody specifically wanted Eric in (though several said "anybody but Eric"). Here are some of the comments we've received:

Liz said:

I would prefer Amy because she would be useful to Danielle-Jason-Marcellas. They need numbers. Eric is too strong for the couples' alliance, so I don't want to see him. Lori is too crazy. Some may find that entertaining but I don't. Tonya is all about her tits, and if the audience votes, she will win. However, she's boring and not much of a strategist (like Lisa) so I don't think she would add to the game.

As I said, most people who responded feel like Liz and want Amy back, but for different reasons. Some want her to stir things up, some want to see how she reacts. Here is a selection of comments.

Mary said she wants Amy back because:

In her exit interview, she went on and on about how she learned so much about herself and all the walls she put up. I'd like to see if the new improved Amy emerges or if it's still the same old self-centered Amy who shows up. Bad habits die hard...

I would like to see Amy come back just because of what Marcellas said after she was evicted. That he would avenge her eviction. If Amy came back that would mean that Amy and Marcellas might stir up a can of worms and keep the show interesting.

I'd like to see Amy come back to shake up Kiki... I think she and Roddy have an intellectual connection that Kiki cannot comprehend!

I'd like to see Amy back in the house. I think it'd be much more interesting if she came back in, because she was evicted unanimously and I think she deserves another chance. Also, it'd be really interesting to see how Roddy, Chiara, etc. react to her, after they sucked up to her when she was evicted. Plus, Marcellas will have his friend back, and if she was evicted again, perhaps she'd get the vote she was hoping for - one that wasn't unanimous. … If she comes back into the house it'll be really interesting to watch.

I think that Amy would be the best choice. Just simply look at all of the controversy that she would cause, between Roddy, Chiara, and even Marcellas. And with the recent turn of events she just might be able to get Lisa on her side now, because of what has happened between Lisa and Chiara.

I think Amy would cause people to panic more. Chiwhora would freak out knowing that her worst enemy is back in the house. They also need to have a drunk. They kicked her out too early. She didn't even get drunk enough to pull a knife.

Now let's take a look at some of the comments on all of the potential returning evictees. We begin with Debbie, again, who had more to say than just about Amy:

I wouldn't want Eric back in the house - first of all, he's the first male HG to be evicted and I think a girl should come back to make it more balanced. Also, I couldn't BEAR to listen to him getting all mushy with Lisa again.

Tonya, too, I wouldn't particularly want back in the house - I didn't really like her the first time, and although I feel sorry for her being evicted when she was the "pawn" I don't think it would be as interesting with her back in the house. Let's face it, she was part of the "main" alliance of the house, but she was definitely the outsider, and it would be the same if she went back in: she'd be out of the door by the next week.

Lori, I wouldn't actually mind re-entering the house. I think she deserves another chance, and I think she's a genuinely nice person (far nicer than most of the houseguests, Josh and Chi-whore-a spring to mind). Plus, there are so many HouseGuests in there who want to stay in for the full run, and want to win. Lori didn't particularly want to win - she went in for the experience, and that's why I wouldn't mind seeing her back in the house.
