Big Brother 3: Can Amy Still Win It?by Rose Ann Fiorita -- 09/14/2002
View Printable version of this article The week Roddy and Amy were nominated against each other I started predicting in chat rooms that from this point on, Amy would be put up every week, and each time the other houseguests would be smart enough to figure out that Amy was a lesser threat than the other nominee. Therefore, she would stay each week. I was told each week by other chatters that Amy was a goner and I that I was wrong, but guess what? I was right on! Thursday night Marcellas shot himself in the foot by believing that Jason and Danielle would vote to keep him in and did not use the Golden Veto to save himself. After Lisa formed a last minute alliance with Marcellas she gambled and chose the wrong side with her vote against Amy. This puts Lisa in a very bad position because by siding with Marcellas she has shown Jason and Danielle that she cannot be trusted. Now I believe that little Miss Amy has a two in three chance to win. The way I see it, Lisa is the next one out. Danielle will nominate Amy and Lisa and Jason will vote out Lisa because she sided with Marcellas this week. Next comes the final HoH contest. If Jason wins he would stay true to his early alliance with Danielle and put out Amy. He will choose Danielle to compete with him for the final two. The result would be a clean sweep for Jason. If Danielle wins HoH, I believe that she, being the money hungry and smart game player that she is, would pick Amy to go to the final two with her instead of Jason. She knows she cannot beat Jason in the end game after the ousted HGs see the tapes of her trashing each and every one of them and bragging about what a smart game she has played. In that case I believe that Amy would win. If Amy wins HoH, that's when it gets a little tricky. She has two choices, Jason or Danielle, to take to the final two with her. Danielle has accused Roddy of playing on the other houseguests' weaknesses, but she has been the true master of that art. She knows that Amy has a very close relationship with her mother in Memphis and misses her dearly. She has endeared herself to Amy by often giving her motherly advise and comforting her like a little child when she has been down. Therefore, Amy could choose her "surrogate mother" to take to the end game. Then again, she could do the altruistic move that Colby of Survivor 2 did when faced with the exact same decision as Amy could be faced with. He had to choose who he wanted to go against him at the end, and chose Tina who he thought deserved to win, versus Keith, who he knew he could easily win against. Amy could decide that Jason is the true deserving winner and she would rather see him win even though that means she would come in second place. What a strange twist it would be for Amy to win after being the one that had already been voted out and allowed to return. We have to remember that Amy had to suffer the humiliation of being voted out to be in the position to return and she has been in the house longer than any other houseguest besides Jason, Danielle, Lisa, Marcellas, and Roddy. Even though Amy has not had a game plan or any hidden agendas, she has been the most forgiving person I have ever seen. Yes, she is annoying and obnoxious, but she is the most genuine and sensitive person in the house. I would love to see her win. She could become the real comeback kid.
