Big Brother 3: It Ain't Over Yet…

Ever since last night's dramatic final HoH competition and eviction, poor Danielle has been crying and kissing her $500,000 goodbye. But I say, "Not so fast, dry those eyes!"

First, let me just say that I am a true sap. I know I said in a previous article that I wanted Amy to win but it must be my sympathy from seeing them walk out the door because last night, I was boo-hoo'ing along with Danielle and Lisa as Jason left. After Marcellas' eviction, I really thought Jason and Danielle had the game in the bag. Who knew Lisa was so perceptive? Who knew she had a finger on the pulse of the evicted houseguests and their feelings for the remaining ones? Apparently not Jason. Lisa made answering those questions look like a breeze, missing all but one. Poor Danielle could only sit in the background and shake her head as Lisa's lead grew wider and wider. And I kept shaking my head repeating, "Girl, you shoulda held on to that key."

When Jason sat down with Julie and displayed such confidence that Danielle would win it, my first thought was, "Wait till you see those tapes, buddy." Then I figured that maybe Jason plans on working some mojo on the evicted houseguests when they all get together to interview the final two. Who knows? The smart money would seem to be on Lisa taking home the 500Gs, but I have more faith in Danielle than even Danielle seems to have at this point.

After watching all the episodes, spying in on the live feeds from time to time, and paying close attention to the evicted houseguests' updates and hearing how they feel about the game, I think Danielle still has a pretty good chance of taking home the grand prize. Here's how (* indicates the possibility of a very nasty/entertaining interview question a la Sue's speech to Richard Hatch at the end of Survivor season one):

Votes For Danielle:

Jason - Even if you didn't watch the show all summer and happened to tune in for the first time last night, it's obvious as all get out that the bond between Jason and Danielle is true and their alliance strong. He may be the only evicted houseguest who wants to vote for her even more after watching the tapes when he sees how she talked two HoHs out of nominating him.

Chiara* - My husband seems to think that Chiara will consider the backstabbing between her and Lisa a draw and vote to give Lisa the big money. But you and I, dear reader, know better, don't we? We know that in the Big Brother house, there is no such thing as Even-Stevens. It's not, "I screw you, you screw me back, let's be friends." It's more like, "I screwed you, you screwed me, now I have the last laugh, hope you like the 50Gs."

Gerry - Gerry had supported Danielle within the house and even expressed his desire for her to win upon leaving. Depending on how much he read live feed transcripts, he may still give Dani his vote. He has been quoted elsewhere as saying he is now unhappy with Danielle, but I think the odds of him voting for her are better than him voting for Lisa after Lisa's scathing goodbye message.

Josh - This I got from watching the update video they showed last night. He and Mewitt both seem to think Danielle has played the best game and said flat out that she deserves to win. Also, there is no love lost between Lisa and Josh.

Lori - Again, from her behavior during her update video and because I don't think Danielle has really said anything bad about Lori on air or during a live feed that I've seen, I think Dani has Lori's vote. Also, Danielle did vote to keep Lori that first week. She gave Lori her word she wouldn't vote against her and she didn't.

Amy - She said that she wanted Danielle to win it after her (second) eviction and even after viewing the tapes; Yes, she switched her hope to Jason a little later, but now Jason's gone. I still think that she'll look past all of Danielle's imitations of her and vote to give her the money. Note: this is the only vote that I'm not sure of, but my gut is telling me she'll vote for Danielle.

Votes For Lisa:

Eric - Duh!

Roddy* - Two words - "Lucifer" and "Soulless."

Tonya* - From her update video; she seems pretty bitter towards Danielle for putting her down as a mother. And here's a woman who doesn't look like she spends too much time in front of a computer so I doubt she's seen the equally not-so-nice things Lisa has said about her via the live feeds. I think she'll still be loyal to that girly-girl-let's-put-peanut-butter-on-our-chi-chi's clique and vote for Lisa.

Marcellas* - This has got to be the most blatant of Danielle's betrayals. This poor man was seriously hit by a truck with his eviction - didn't see it coming. Even though Lisa was all down to vote for Marcellas to go had Jason and Danielle seen fit to give her a heads-up, she was not the one who looked him the eye and told him he didn't have to use the Golden Veto because he wasn't going anywhere.

I have Danielle winning it 6-4. Last year, they allowed the final two to each veto a vote. If they do the same this year and if the remaining two are smart, Danielle will veto Eric's and Lisa will veto Jason's. That still has Dani winning it 5-3.

The only way I see Lisa winning is if by some bizarre reason there's a tie and they go to America's votes OR if even more bizarre and unheard of… I'm wrong.
