Now that there are only three teams left for the finale of The Amazing Race 3, it is time to look at three different opinions on who should win the race and why. Three RealityNewsOnline writers have each taken one of the final teams to defend. Jason Borelli chose to defend Ken & Gerard (Team Oh, Brother!), Phil Kural picked Teri and Ian after finally changing his opinion of them, and C. Brian Devinney chose Zach and Flo (Yak). Let's take a look at how they think their team will do.

1. Why did you choose the team you are defending?

Jason: You're kidding, right? Vietnam aside, Teri and Ian have not shown any teamwork. Ian yells at Teri, Teri snaps at Ian, and it continues until they hit the Pit Stop, where it always turns out somebody had a worse day. I've lost all respect for Flo and Zach. After the meltdown in Montreaux, they should have been out of there, but it was a non-elimination leg. Flo continues to bug in every leg, and Zach just takes it. Now, what about Ken and Gerard? They've been the most likable duo in this bunch. Every Race has its court jesters. First, there were Kevin and Drew, the lovable bald Frats from New York. Then came Oswald and Danny, the endearing Team Cha-Cha-Cha from Miami. Now we have Ken and Gerard, a gay liberal and his straight conservative brother, shticking their way around the world. Watching them in action puts a smile on my face.

Phil: I picked Teri and Ian because it took me the whole race to warm up to them. Sometimes it may take me a week or two to finally like a team but it took me all season for these two. I actually wrote several articles about how much I disliked them (here and here), but then realized that I liked them the whole time. This is now my chance to defend their actions and state my case as to why I think they will win.

Brian: Why did I pick Flo and Zach? Well it's probably because not only does this team bring the annoying factor to a new level, but they also remind me of what it would be like if I were on the show. No, I'm not saying that I would be Zach - I would most definitely be a Flo. Maybe not as shrill, loud, and bitchy, but I would be a Flo.

2. What was the high point during the entire race for your team?

Jason: It's hard to pinpoint a high point, but I'd have to say finishing first in back-to-back legs without benefit of the Fast Forward, in Lisbon and Fez.

Phil: The high point for Teri and Ian was coming in first at the latest pit stop. I don't think even they realized they could pull that off. The only other time they came in first was the time they used the Fast Forward. This time they did it on their own because of superior racing. I was happy to see them so excited and glad that I would get to see them make it to the finish line.

Brian: See this is a hard call because it's either the moment that they finally decided to formally go for the Fast Forward and not play a round of rock/paper/scissors for the chance to do it or it's when Zach, in his passive aggressive way, refused to move out of his line at customs, much to the consternation of Flo. Part of me would like to believe that Zach was doing it for the sole purpose that he had to get some control over his freakazoid teammate and this was the only way he could do it.

3. Was there ever a time you thought your team would be eliminated?

Jason: The closest they've come would be in that last leg, trying to find the Roadblock. If the twins had found the directions first, the brothers would've been toast. They had scares in Fussen and Grindelwald, but the audience knew they weren't screwed.

Phil: I don't think there was a week where I ever thought they wouldn't be eliminated. Let's face it: everyone thought that they were going to be eliminated sooner, rather than later. They seem to always get lost on the way to the pit stop and they bicker every step of the way. However, that seems to be working for them now. When I saw how well they were doing on the latest leg of the race I knew at that point there was no stopping them.

Brian: Oh, there was that little incident with a bicycle, a helmet being thrown, someone pouting, and holding their breath until their face turned blue only to burst into screams of joy when it was a non-elimination round.

4. How well does your team work together? Do you think that their team dynamic is working for them?

Jason: Ken and Gerard are the best. Not the best team that's still in there, but the best team that's been in the Race. They don't yell at each other. They joke around with the other teams. They formed a competent alliance with Derek and Drew (Gerard has his own set of twins, so maybe he used that to relate to them). Heck, Ken saved Gerard from getting run over by a cable car in Zurich. They truly care about each other, and their sexual and political differences don't matter. If you only get to hear them, they sound like Nathan Lane in stereo.
