Survivor: The Amazon is still a month away, but in the meantime here are some things to consider in what to look for from this new season's potential winner and losers.

THE WINNERS

-In the five previous Survivors, the youngest winner is Ethan Zohn of Survivor: Africa, at 27 years old.

-At 40 years old, Tina Wesson of Survivor 2 is the oldest winner.

-The average age of the previous five Survivor winners is 35.

-The winners have alternated on a boy-girl pattern. So of course, a woman should win Survivor: The Amazon.

-Brian from Survivor: Thailand and Vecepia from Survivor: Marquesas are the only winners who also won the most immunities during their seasons of Survivor. Brian won three times, Vecepia won twice (tied with two other people from her season).

-Tina is the only Survivor winner who never held an individual immunity.

-Brian is the only winner who won the final immunity challenge.

-Ethan is the only winner who had more then four votes from the jury.

-Richard Hatch, the winner of the original Survivor, received the most ouster votes of any winner, with six previous votes.

-Neither Tina, Ethan, nor Brian received ouster votes.

THE RUNNERS UP

-The youngest runner up is Neleh Dennis of Survivor: Marquesas, who was only 21 years old.

-The oldest runner up is Kim Johnson of Survivor: Africa, at 57 years old.

-The average of the five previous runners up is 34.4 years old.

-Kelly of the original Survivor is the only runner up who never received an ouster vote.

THE AGE FACTOR

-The worst the oldest player has ever finished is 6th place, belonging to Jake of Survivor: Thailand (61 years old).

-The best the oldest player has finished is 2nd place for Kim Johnson of Survivor: Africa (57 years old).

-The oldest player has never finished in the same spot. Rudy of the original Survivor finished 3rd, Rodger of Survivor 2 finished 5th, Kim Johnson of Survivor: Africa finished 2nd, Paschal of Survivor: Marquesas finished 4th, and Jake of Survivor: Thailand finished 6th.

-The youngest Survivor has twice been the runner up. At 22 years of age, Kelly was the original Survivor runner up, and Neleh Dennis was 22 years old when she was the runner up in the Marquesas edition.

-Robb of Survivor: Thailand finished the worst any youngest member has, ending up in 11th place.

-The oldest player ever is Rudy of the original Survivor, at 72 years of age.

-Neleh is the youngest ever at 21 years of age.

BEFORE THE JURY

-Sonja of the original Survivor is the oldest person to be voted out first, at 62 years of age.

-Debb of Survivor 2 is the only person voted out first who was done so unanimously.

-Michael Skupin of Survivor 2 is the only pre-jury member who was not voted out, but instead removed from the game due to injury.

-If you are male, you are slightly less likely to be voted out before the jury is formed. 18 females and 16 males make up the Survivors have visited the "losers' lodge."

POPULARITY (Information gathered from official polls at CBS.com)

-The most popular castaway ever is Ethan Zohn of Survivor: Africa, with a 94% rating. He's also the most popular winner.
