WWE Tough Enough, March 7 Update: Matt, Jonah, Hawk, and More!

by Mike DeGeorge -- 03/07/2003
Mike is back with more updates on former contestants from WWE Tough Enough. Matt Cappotelli had his third match, Jonah has some coming up, Matt Morgan has a good storyline brewing, and Hawk is trying out for another reality TV show, among other news!

TE3 winner Matt Cappotelli wrestled his third match over the weekend at a Raw house show in Rochester, NY, losing a good match to Rico. Matt was the hometown boy as he grew up in the area. Michigan, where he wrestled is second match, is his “adopted” hometown as that is where he went to school.

In any case, Rico reversed a “very pretty looking” cross-body splash and held Matt’s tights for the pin, according to the person sending in the report. Matt, as I mentioned, was very over the whole time, receiving many “Flava” chants throughout the match. I hope to have some pictures of the match, but that all depends on how they come out.

Speaking of Matt, be sure to check out my recent interview with him. I’m very proud of it and have gotten many great letters about it. Thanks to everyone who has written in. Be sure to keep your eyes on the site, my interview with Scott is coming soon, where he talks in depth about his first indy match, the incident with Jennifer (the girl he invited to the house), his thoughts on the other cast members, and more! After that, we’ll have chats with Nick and Chad! Don’t miss them!

Jonah has been signed for two WWA New England shows over the weekend, March 7th in Brockton, MA, and March 8th in Quincy, MA. We do not know who he will be fighting, just that he wants to “settle a score.” Find out more at www.wwenewengland.com. If anyone attends either of these shows, please drop me a line and tell me about them. Thanks to CharlieFTW for the heads-up.

More updates on other former contestants:

If you read the site in any frequency, you’ve noticed that our friend Daniel Lue was voted off Survivor: The Amazon last week. Make sure you stay tuned to RealityNewsOnline for a special interview with Daniel about his time in the Amazon.

TE2’s Matt Morgan taped a major angle at Wednesday’s OVW television show, to be aired Saturday in Louisville. Kenny Bolin, head of the top heel stable, Bolin $ervices, offered Matt a position with B$. Matt refused, which hints strongly at a “Matt vs. Bolin $ervices” feud coming. That can only be a good thing for Matt, as people who have feuded with B$ recently include Rico and John Cena.

Remember you can always find tapes of OVW TV shows at www.ovwrestling.com. I’ve got quite a few, and there is a lot of great stuff to be had. Make sure you tell them where you heard about it.

Linda and Jackie were also at the event, but Jackie did nothing more than stand on the apron during a match and Linda collected money for charity. Yikes.

While we’re on the subject of Jackie and Linda, a sharp-eyed reader noticed that their bios have been deleted from wwe.com. This makes sense, as they’re technically not on the WWE roster at this point. But you have to wonder if there’s something more sinister going on…

Also from the second season, Hawk continues to try out for crappy reality shows! He was spotted in line by a reader in the tryout line for the NBC reality show The Next Action Star. Maybe we can see why he quit… all that training was interfering with his tryouts!

Another reader let me know that Paulina is wrestling for Rocky Mountain Championship Wrestling in Denver! At the “Night of the Champion” show in February, Paulina interrupted a match by chokeslamming “Stiletto,” causing a huge fight. At the March 6th show in Denver, Stiletto meets Paulina in an attempt at revenge. You can check out www.rmcw.com for all the details.

Finally, no word at all about whether there will be a Tough Enough 4, which leads me to believe that there will not be one. I’ve tried contacting MTV numerous times, but they have never called me back.

As always, if you have any information on any Tough Enough contestants past or present, make sure to let me know!
