Survivor: The Amazon – Advice for the Remaining Fourby Jeffrey Clinard -- 05/09/2003
View Printable version of this article Take my advice and you'll win the game... It's final four time, and time for the Survivor Advisor to examine the end-game strategy for each player. For better or worse, everybody has made their choices to get this far. Now it's time to pay for their deeds. It's also time to look at each player's position in the game and what they need to do to become the sole Survivor. It still could be anybody's game at this point. Rob. Your strategy has been scorpion. You've made great tactical moves to control political power at almost every step of the game, so what it really comes down to is whether or not the jury will believe that adds up to the winning formula for the game. I'd give you a decent chance to win against anybody. If you make it to the end, you'll have justly earned the final two position. You are absolutely right to want to get Jenna against you in the end. The last vote was directed against you by the step-sisters as a warning. So by keeping Jenna, you know her sure-fire vote from Heidi would be offset by the vote cast by Christy. This leaves you with the problem of trying to convince the rest of the jury you played a better game than she did. That's also something for the rest of the players to consider when they make the next two cuts. They might want to keep you around simply because you've stabbed too many people in the back to win the game. Butch. Your strategy has been under-the-radar worker bee. There is probably not a single person in the game you've made an enemy with. However, the great game players in the past HAVE made enemies, because it is usually necessary to do so in order to advance in the game. Your real problem is that you've made few active moves on your own part, and while it makes you a better man, it doesn't make you a better player. Your best chance at winning a jury vote might be against Rob. He's played well, but he's broken the eggs in order to make his omelet. He may have broken one too many along the way. You probably want to try and cut out Matthew next time if you can, then Jenna, in order to get to that point. Matthew. Your strategy has been accomplice. You started the game in the minority alliance with Ryan and Daniel, then, after the merge, found yourself in another minority position. Then Rob decided the time was right for betrayal, and made you his partner. He's gotten the heat, but you've got the benefits. Your only downside is that you've come across as something of a psycho. Heck, that might even be a plus if the others think you need the money for some serious therapy. I think you shouldn't care too much about which person you go against, because you might be able to beat any of them in a jury vote at this point. If I had to make the choice, I'd pick Rob, as he would have two enemies on the jury at that point (Jenna and Heidi). Your biggest worry is that the others might think you are too big a threat right now, and toss you before you get to the final two. Jenna. Your strategy has been snobby sorority queen. You've always moved in the circle of the beautiful people, Shawna and Heidi, and then only allowed another person (Deena) in because you needed the vote. You showed the same thing when you pulled in the cute tattooed Alex (I know you like tattoos) and Rob along (who was really running the show by that point). Like the others, you should probably want Rob against you at the end. He stuck knives in Dave, Alex, Deena, and Christy. Christy's vote will be against you, but that can't be helped in any event (you dug that grave from day one). The real thing you might need to do to win immunity the next time around to force the men to cut one of their own members. Then try to bargain with the other. Heidi. What went wrong? Well, by the time you knew what Rob was, it was too late for you. You failed completely when it came to trying to win over the swing vote in this round, Butch. Even before that you alienated Christy, who could have been a trusted ally instead of a bitter enemy. I have to admit though, while Rob is the resident class clown, you definitely have outdone him in laugh moments when it came to tribal council.
