Sorority Life 2, Episode 10: MTV gets a new "Jackass"by Jen Shrader -- 05/16/2003
View Printable version of this article Previously on Sorority Life, Tim and Nicole had their big talk at Applebee's where Tim said he didn't want to be her boyfriend and Nicole just thought he was looking out for her bests interests. Then there was "date night" at the pledge house, where Nicole still didn't get kissed but confessed that made her want Tim even more. This week, we start out at Rafferty's Bar, where the sisters are having an event. There's a lot of dart throwing and drinking, and sister Laura is throwing darts with her eyes at Julia's boyfriend Wagner, who is black. Laura says Julia is gung-ho about being a sister but Wagner is less than thrilled. Not surprising since there's one black girl in the whole sorority. But Julia says Wagner is the "best boyfriend for like, ever," which is why they've been dating a year and nine months. Then she announces to the sisters, who are back in the pledge house kitchen, that she's going to go have sex. Brooke's a little annoyed that Julia talks about sex like she's doing homework. We're all introduced to what Nicole calls the "Tim likes Brooke joke." Apparently it's a big "joke" between them that Tim likes Brooke and wants to get it on with her, or wants to see Nicole and Brooke get it on. Shyeah. Men joke about that stuff then you mention one lesbian pillow fight and they run like the wind... But to continue the joke, when Tim and Alex come over they immediately run into Brooke's room and start smelling the sheets. OK, ick. Pathetic Nicole, however, tries to lead them all into her room to see her bed. It's sad, really. Brooke: "I'm not in on the joke so it's not funny to me." Well, you're about to get dragged in kicking and screaming. But before that, it's time for the girls to hit a trashy tattoo parlor. Here's a tip, when you're in college, DON'T get a tattoo in a college town. Those guys are just there to cater to idiots. Go somewhere where a tattoo artist has to worry about being good. Speaking of idiots, Julia wants to get a tattoo of "Jewelz" on her upper back. She has a drawing, but it's spelled wrong in the drawing. So Baldy, the tattoo man, has to spell it next to the tattoo on the paper. After about eight tries, he gets it right. But when he starts the tattoo he goes according to the drawing instead of the correct spelling. The best part is, Maggie, who is there to "hold Julia's hand," counts down the letters and WATCHES as the guy gets it wrong. There's some sisterhood for ya. I wouldn't want to join any sorority where one of my "sisters" lets me get something spelled wrong that's going to be branded permanently on my body. To top it off, the "sisters" decide not to even tell Julia her tattoo is spelled wrong. Nice. Meanwhile, Nicole is out to dinner with her real (as in biological) sister Natalie, MacKenzie and her Best Buy boyfriend and some others. They're at a pizza place. Applebee's must have had a wait list. That leaves Brooke back at the house, on the computer as usual. I wonder if she reads RealityNewsOnline. Anyway, she gets a call from Steve, who's allegedly looking for Melissa. But soon Tim is on the line, saying they were calling to see if Brooke and Melissa wanted to go out. As a foursome. Without Nicole. Ohh, drama. Brooke asks "what's the deal" with Nicole and Tim says they're just good friends, and he told her this at the great "Applebee's Chat of Delusion." Brooke does what a good sister would do and calls Nicole, but she kind of glosses over whether Nicole would be invited along on this date. She says she never asked to be part of the triangle. Nicole is visibly upset by Brooke's revelations and immediately calls Tim. In the background a song plays with the line, "I'm not stalking you I'm just calling you a lot." If anyone knows who that is and where I can find it, E-MAIL THIS SITE IMMEDIATELY! I MUST HAVE IT! Nicole asks Tim on the phone, "Why wouldn't it be me too?" and he hums and haws around. Then she gets really defensive when MacKenzie asks if the evening was supposed to be a date. Nicole interviews that she's "shocked, angry, and confused" by this. Tim totally waffles and tells her she can come along if she wants. MacKenzie, whose opinion suddenly matters, says she doesn't like Tim and doesn't like that Nicole likes him.
