Big Brother 4, July 23: The Best Laid Plans of Morons…

Next, it’s time to meet some family and friends. Michelle’s parents discuss her being just out of high school, whereupon we see clips of her saying, “like… like… like…” throughout a conversation. With her, what you see is what you get, so we see clips of her saying, “Wow… wow… wow…” Her mom says the others think she’s young and innocent and doesn’t know what’s going on, but she’ll surprise them. Er, will she?

Michelle’s mom was surprised to see David, but David’s mom was relieved to see that Michelle was the ex that showed up for him. Both agree that they have remained friendly, almost like a brother/sister thing. David says that Michelle is not his type of woman now – she wears too much makeup. And her being there doesn’t deter him from hooking up with other girls in the house (uh, that was rather obvious!).

Speaking of which, his mom says she was rather surprised by his actions with Amanda, but he’s an adult. Michelle’s parents say that sort of thing is usually kept within the privacy of one’s own home. Hey, this is his home right now! They later add that it would have been more appropriate in a ’57 Chevy in a parking lot behind a building. Um, is a ’57 Chevy “home”? Anyway, Dave says he doesn’t regret anything.

Moving to the other nominee and her ex, Erika’s mom says Erika is a dream daughter – beautiful, giving, generous. When Robert walked through the door, Erika was shocked. Rob’s roommate says it looked like he wanted to walk out of house and never come back. They were a great couple for a while and then it ended kinda nasty. Robert says he’s here to play the game and especially to get her out before him. His roommate says Robert is an outgoing friendly guy and Erika is a princess who is nice sometimes but mostly cold. Her mom, on the other hand, says Erika is very warm and loving but cool because of Robert – he betrayed her. His roomie says he dates multiple women all the time, he’s about as bad as it gets. (Gosh, wonder why his relationship with Erika ended.) Her mom says Rob’s a loser – with a big “L.” Erika is concentrating on getting Robert out of the house and not thinking about too much else.

Now it’s time for Julie to talk with Jee privately. She notes that he has formed a secret alliance with his ex, but they don’t even like each other – how far will he take the alliance in the game? He says he will take it however far it takes him, as long as it helps him. If he has to stab her in the back, that’s what he’ll do. So, Julie wonders, does he think it will be a close vote? No, he thinks it will be unanimous. Julie breaks out in laughter, doubles over, and rolls on the floor and his stupidity. Then she storms into the house and whacks him on the back of the head the way she did to Marcellas last year. Whoops! That was just me daydreaming. Sorry. Actually, she doesn’t follow up at all and just asks a rather stupid question of how he will vote if it’s a tie. Gosh, I wonder.

She also asks if people have treated him differently as HOH than they did when he was a nominee. He says yes, people kiss his ass. He enjoys it and it’s entertaining, but he knows who is telling the truth and who is not. Yup, he knows. It’s as plain as the nose on his face. Hey! Where’d that thing go?! It was just there a second ago!

Who would he like to win the next HOH? Either Justin or Robert, but if neither of them, Dana, even though everybody wants her to go. (Wait, didn’t he say the will of the house was for Erika to go?!)

Time for more voting discussion. Nathan says Michelle is his snuggle bunny and he’d like to keep her. Erika is a strong player in the sense that she’s a very intelligent person and points out good strategies. Jun says that Erika is a threat to her as far as having Jack and Dave in her web. And Justin agrees that Erika is a threat and is the strongest player. Justin votes to evict Erika. Another shocker.

Switching gears, it’s time to visit with some old friends from Big Brother 3. Jason is still a virgin. Phew – glad he told us, because I was wondering. You know, it occurs to me that Jason was probably the beginning of the whole virgin trend on reality TV that we’ve seen lately. Anyway, he says it’s been one of the most amazing rides, and it has opened doors and provided unbelievable opportunities – he is living his 16th minute. Jason has been traveling with his band and having a great time. Hoo-boy, those groupies! Wait, he’s still a virgin. Never mind. If he had to do it over again, the one thing he would change is that he wouldn’t have let go of the key in the last HOH competition. Jason is still closest with Danielle, and she and her family are actually vacationing with his family this year.

Lori says her life is insanity. She is working in Duluth, Minnesota – eh – in radio sales, and bartending at night. The only thing scares her is that she’s really good at the bartending. She says that looking back, she would not have played any different than she played. She says what she means and was able to walk out very sure of herself. She says she came out of it a real winner.
