Big Brother 4, July 27 Live Feed Highlights: Veto Decision Rocks the House!

by Sting7 -- 07/28/2003
It’s time for the big Veto decision. The person who holds veto power this week has been going back and forth – but nobody really knows what will happen until the actual meeting takes place. The decision has repercussions that reverberate throughout the house. Obviously, this article contains spoiler information.

Ah! Back to the game!

We begin in the wee hours of Sunday morning because these folks do not sleep! Alison and Nate are cuddled up in bed again. Is he still mad at her? Uh huh. (She piled on when Jun called him gay for rebuffing her gross advances, plus all the other various and sundry things she did on Saturday.)

Dana tells Jun she can't believe Justin kissed her! (Drunk as they all were, how could anything be shocking?) More importantly, Dana and Jun wonder if folks have figured out their secret pact. One way to find out, Dana goes peeping around corners again. No dice, but she does manage to wake up everyone in the blue room. Later, Dana continues on with Jun about Dana's favorite subject – Dana. She thinks Dave would have hit on her if Amanda hadn't happened. She's also worried that Justin is too short. And she will not will not will not make out with him on camera. And then there's his ears (Justin has cauliflower ear from years of wrestling). How Jun's eyes keep from rolling up into her brain is a mystery.

Sober heads prevailing, after a few hours sleep, back to the game! Jack thinks Alison is really starting to feel insecure. He and Erika pitch around the pros and cons of keeping her and decide the cons are too great. Nathan. He's not so steady in the 7, and he's feeling the heat. Jack implies he's going to apply some pressure so Nate does not pull Alison off the block!

Erika says that Dana genuinely likes Dave and would rather have gone after Nathan, if he hadn't won POV. She feels strongly that Nathan is going to use the veto. Jack says Nathan is playing scared and he knows today’s decision will determine his fate in the game. Erika thinks it is wise for her and Jack to stay low. With all the goings on with Justin and Dana and Nate and Ali, the four of them have the biggest targets on their backs. Erika and Jack should just stay out of the way.

The Veto meeting goes down and Nathan does indeed save Alison and Dana puts up Dave in her place! Dana is pacing around announcing she HATES Nathan! Dana asks Erika if she wants to get rid of Jack or Dave. Before she can answer, Jun growls that it's a pointless question considering THEY aren't telling who they are voting for and neither are WE! Stunned silence. Did Jun just speak the unspeakable? Erika says she speaks truth. And with that, she leaves.

Dana, Jun, Robert, Jee, and Justin debate whether to vote out Jack or Dave. Sounds like Dave is a goner, though they really wanted him to be a part of the jury. If they keep Dave, he may be out for revenge on Nathan, which would be good for them (smart thinking, and Erika would also be left vulnerable!). Jun thinks having Dave go improves all of their chances of winning. Jee says they should think about it and he'll go along with whatever they decide. (Thinking. It's too much for him!)

Jun complains to Ali that Erika wouldn't crack under the grilling! The nerve of her. Huey, Duey, and Louie (that’s Justin/Jee/Robert for those who don’t regularly follow the live feeds) think Nathan's an idiot for falling for Alison's fake flirting. Dana, Justin, and Jee decide that if Dave goes this week, they will promise Erika and Jack safety if they agree to get rid of Nathan and Alison. They feel like this is a slam dunk!

Jack tells Nathan that things look grim. Nathan says don't give up. Something will break for them.
