Big Brother 4, July 28 Live Feed Highlights: The Last Gasp

Justin tells the other members of Huey, Dewey, and Louie (Justin/Jee/Robert) that he did NOT kiss Dana, he would admit it if he did. (Lie.) The others encourage him to put the moves on her (he is, she's resisting!); he says he won't do anything in the house. They say Dave is such a big baby about losing, they all want to beat him at basketball before he goes. HDL also decide to open a restaurant WHEN they win!

Jack makes his pitch to Dana. She tells HDL that he was begging to stay. She put down the deal that he and Erika will be safe if one of them win HOH and get rid of Nathan and Alison in the next two weeks. After that, every man for himself. Jack says he didn't know Nathan was going to use the POV. Dana says that proves he's not a team player – yes, she actually told him that! Dana recounts the discussion with Jee (no word on whether Jack signed on, but Dave was gonna be gone anyway, so there was no rush). Jee thinks she made a smart move (uh oh). He also accuses Erika of having the hots for Dave.

Monday morning, Big Brother says no competitions today. Alison remarks to Robert that he is noticeably getting along better with Erika. He says they still aren't friends, but they are stuck with each other for the time being. They are trying to be civil while there, but once the show is over – pfft!

Erika asks Robert why they put up Dave. Robert says he's a cool guy and everyone likes him and all... but... (no more). Why didn't they put up Nathan from the beginning? Erika seems to be on the brink of tears! Robert avoids answering (Alison may have been in the vicinity, or maybe he sensed a scene approaching). Erika leaves, Alison then asks Robert if he actually likes Dana now. He only says that she saved them, so... (not really an answer).

Dana tells Justin she really feels bad about Dave, they wanted him to be sequestered in Mexico with them.

Erika goes to Dave and gives a hopeless little shrug. She just talked to Robert and it seems like they are set on Dave going. Then she does cry. Dave laughs at the sudden emotional outburst. Erika says they aren't offering her anything to vote for Dave, she wants him to know that, if she and Jack vote off Nathan and Alison, they will be kept safe. Maybe there is time for something to happen. Dave asks why him? They think he's a big threat. Then she calls Dana a "stupid bitch mantroll." (No Christmas cards from Dana this year!) She also says it was stupid of them to put up a decoy. Never use a decoy! (Amen!)

Dave says he doesn't care, he doesn't like most of the people there. He's kinda ready. Erika says he could offer to have sex with Dana and, you know, not throw up. Dave mouths "noooo!" like, "Don't say that out loud!" (Does he think we don't know?)

Nate, Alison, and Erika do some pre-grieving over Dave's impending doom. They agree that if they don't win HOH, they are toast! Alison feels confident, she has beaten Justin at every competition besides two. Nathan says Dana should go next, then Justin. Alison likes the vice versa. Nathan says Dave told him, in hindsight, he should have used the veto and seen if Jee would put Dana up. Alison says she is sure Robert/Jee/Jun really want Dana out of the house.

Meanwhile, Justin is laughing that Ali thinks Nathan will win HOH next week.

Dave tells Erika that his only hope is to offer his service to HDL to help get Nathan out. (Hmmm.) He could work through them to get rid of Dana, pretend that Erika, Jack, and Alison don't trust him anymore. Erika thinks she can also offer herself if they get rid of Dana. Erika realizes she would be turning on Jack and didn't think it would come to that so soon! Dave says he'll make his pitch tonight.

But he makes it in the afternoon. He discusses the virtues of his staying with Justin, Jee, and Robert. He can vote out Nathan and Ali if they want, and having him brings Erika with him (HDL smugly say Erika will do what they want anyway). HDL says if you can convince Dana and Jun, you have a shot. Before he gets his chance, Dana and Jun are quickly informed of Dave's pitch. Jun wants NOTHING to do with saving Dave. "He's trained to lie!" [Editor’s Note: I didn’t realize that was part of Army Ranger training – I think she’s confusing the Rangers with the CIA… or being a politician.] Dana isn't so against it, but she has some reservations. Robert and Jee say their guts tell them not to trust him! Justin is actually in favor of saving Dave. Lots of back and forth. Jun doesn't think Jack is a threat because he won't win anything. (Famous last words.)

Back and forth the fearsome fivesome (HDL, Dana, Jun) debate. So who will be voted out? It’s still not clear yet.
