Big Brother 4, July 29 Live Feed Highlights: Is the Vote Decided?by Sting7 -- 07/29/2003
View Printable version of this article Tuesday, July 29. Voting Day. And maybe Dave's second-to-last day in the Big Brother house. Things are definitely somber. Jack and Erika convene in the HOH room with Dana, Justin, and Jun. Dana asks what the deal was with Nate and Ali coming to Dave/Erika/Jack at 3 AM? Jack says he told them that he was upset that Erika was upset, Dave keeps her happy in the house. (Note: I have a funny feeling that Jack is putting on the acting performance of his life!) Dana tells them that Dave is the one to go (remember how vehement she was that Huey, Dewey, and Louie – HDL – and Associates weren't going to say who they were voting out?). She figures Jack would be more appreciative – and trustworthy. Jack says good-naturedly that he is so pissed. Erika says as the hours tick away, she gets more emotional. Jack says he is worried about Nate and Alison. It's like the whole house is shunning them. Alison is trying to make amends, he says. He has told her it (her being saved) never should have happened and the house is letting Nate know. He adds that Nathan has told him he never felt he had any allies anyway, so he did what was best for him personally. But he's playing very scared right now. Operation Nate: Jun says Jack and Erika must pretend they are aligned with him. Both say they get it. Jack doesn't look happy about it. Dana tries to console him, you're doing what you have to do. Jack says he doesn't buy that crap. Dana offers the example of her saving HDL by adding her (and Jun) to their numbers. They are so appreciative! (We'll see!) Jack rips the martyr tag off by saying she is carrying them, but he doesn't blame her for covering her own ass. (Dana cannot figure out when she has been backhanded!) Dana reiterates that Jack and Erika must put up Nate and Ali if they win HOH. If they win HOH and fail to do so, all bets are off! (Very threatening.) If they play along, everyone gets along for a couple of weeks. Dana comments that she is not happy that Ali will be on the jury (after this week, the evicted HouseGuests will be sequestered in Mexico and be on the jury to determine the winner). Jack sighs that Dave will have to live off his savings, he won't get Big Brother per diem until the show is done. Jack says Nate is reeling now. Dana comments that by saving Alison, he ticked off Jack, Erika, and Dave. What a stupid move! Robert peeks his head in. There is a practice HOH game! Alison and the studying – all for naught! Dana says it really was a gut-wrenching decision. She has nothing against Dave, he's just too strong a player to leave hanging around. She hopes, in the end, he'll blame Nate. If Nate hadn't saved Alison, Dave wouldn't be on the bubble. Dana says Nate accused her of betraying him (by nominating Alison). Jack says Nate's insecurity is getting the better of him. Dana yells at Nate that he's a dirty nasty guy, never showers, and to brush his "nasty teeth." He responds with a middle finger salute. Jun says he just got out of the shower! She tells Robert she has faith in "her guys." If Nate or Ali win HOH, she promises to throw the keys (to the HOH room) at them! (So charming!) Ali is practicing whatever it is (hard to tell what they are doing, but looks like they are dropping ping pong balls from a water bottle into a tube). Jun is furious that Ali "stole" her technique. (Next time, get a patent!) Jack and Erika confide in each other that they think it's a trick – the ping pong ball thing will NOT be the HOH challenge. Nonetheless, everyone practices furiously – Alison like her life depends on it! Dana tells Robert and Justin that Erika and Jack are only "in" to get rid of Nathan, after that, they are next! (Jack and Erika have to know that!) Want to keep up with important events in the house? Check out our Big Brother 4 Spoiler Page for news on who wins contests and other ongoing info.
