Big Brother 4, July 30-31 Live Feed Highlights: Alison’s Nominations and Food Competitionby Paris Cosby, with David Bloomberg -- 08/01/2003
View Printable version of this article We pick up where the live show on Wednesday left off. After the HOH competition, Dana and Justin discuss how last week was their week. Dana says, "You are lucky I didn't jump over the couch and claw her." I have to say, I'm getting really tired of Dana and that ugly mouth of hers, and I know I’m not alone. Meanwhile, in the hot tub, Alison whines to Jun about missing her boyfriend. I'm amazed she has time between all those new men in her life! There is some talk of sequestering and Justin says it will be at a resort. After last year's disaster with Danielle, this bunch won't get to see any of the Diary Room entries until after they've voted for the winner. Jun is working on Alison a bit and is telling her that Dana "is out of control." Alison might be buying Jun's story because part of her wants to stick to the original plan. Personally, I don't think she will. And, for my viewing pleasure, I sincerely hope that she doesn't! Surprisingly, Jun tells Alison that if she wants Justin evicted to nominate Justin and Dana, if she wants Dana out to nominate Dana and herself (Jun). Gutsy on Jun's part. I don't particularly care for Jun but she seems to be really playing this game! Meanwhile, there is more strategizing going on among Huey, Dewey, and Louie (HDL – Justin/Jee/Robert). They are discussing separating themselves from the others. If one of them wins the veto, they won't use it unless two of the three of them are on the block. Once HDL and Jun and Dana are back together, they discuss just how together they are. Dana hates Erika (so why didn’t you put her up instead of Dave last week when Nathan used the Veto?), Justin won't go into HOH if Alison wants to talk to him, they're taking this to the end, no boys vs. girls stuff but the girls as well as the boys will look out for their own. I'm just rolling my eyes and shaking my head! There is lots more discussion of who may be put up. It varies from Justin and Dana to Dana and Justin. And once in a while Jun is thrown in. No mention of Robert or Jee though. Nathan hates the fact that Jun is skating through everything and would love to see her voted out of the house. Dana thinks she can manipulate Alison, but I doubt it. Nathan maybe, Dana no. Dana's trying, though, as live feed viewers say she has been sucking up to Alison pretty much all day. She even started to move back into her old room she shared with Nathan and Alison while they were still in there. Jack offers Nathan Dave's old bed and I'm sure he'll take it. I would. I'd be scared to sleep in the same room with psycho Dana. As Jack said last week, sleep on your back in case Dana comes in to stab your ass! As the HouseGuests settle in for the night, there is a bit more chatter on how much Dana hates Nathan and Alison, as if this is news. Would someone please stick something in that woman's mouth to shut her up? The food competition this week consists of two teams of four (as we overheard them discussing at the end of Wednesday night’s show). Red is the hot team and Blue is the cool team. The HouseGuests pick their own teams. Blue is Dana, Jee, Robert, and Erika; Red is Jun, Justin, Nate, and Jack. Alison doesn’t have to compete and gets to eat with the winning team. The losing team, of course, gets a PB&J diet for the week. They are given jumpsuits prior to the competition and are allowed to make alterations to them. They get into cutting them and no one is happy with the results. They comment on how they all look like prisoners. They kind of are, though, aren't they? The game is called Pipeline. Each team must put together a series of pipes through rings to the end of the course and wash the duck that's waiting there. The first team to wash their duck wins! When it's all said and done, the Blue team wins and Robert, Jee, Dana, and Erika will be eating PB&J for the rest of the week. None of them are happy about it – especially Robert, who says he may eat anyway and take a penalty nomination. But let’s face it, he probably won’t. Speaking of nominations, today is nomination day. It’s been pretty obvious that Dana was going to be nominated, but it was still a toss-up between Justin and Jun for the second nomination. In the end, Alison chooses to nominate Dana and Jun, which I think is a mistake. If anything, she should have learned from last week that you always put the couples up together. She, of all people, should know better than to put up a decoy! Will these people ever learn?! As was discussed earlier, Jun managed to convince Alison to nominate her against Dana if she really wanted Dana gone. If she wanted Justin gone, she was told to nominate Dana and Justin. (I guess she wants to keep her boys around to play with!) Now Justin has the ability to win the Power of Veto and take Dana off the block. Sometimes I wonder what these people are thinking. Had she nominated Justin, he would only have saved himself with the Veto. Nathan doesn't seem entirely happy with Alison's decision (gosh, wonder why – especially considering he kept saying she was the brains of the house) and knows they have to win the Power of Veto and the HOH competitions or they'll both be nominated together next time.
