Big Brother 4, August 10 Live Feed Highlights: As the Game Turns

by Sting7 -- 08/11/2003
As Nate's days (appear to) dwindle, he decides he's not going with a fight. Including exposing Jun and Alison's tactics! Can he convince the Stooges to let him join? Does Alison have a game plan that can destroy the Stooges? Has Jun and Jee's alliance been discovered? Obviously, this article contains spoiler information.

Sunday

In the wee hours of the morning Nathan has a discussion with Jun and the Stooges in the HOH room, in which Jun tells Nathan how much Alison has been badmouthing him and basically telling Justin everything he does or says. Nathan has a hard time believing the level of deception could be that deep and accuses Jun for trying to stir things up (he's not really wrong in this). They really light into each other, but Jun, master of deflection, takes a "hey, I just thought you should know" attitude. Nathan does manage to throw some dirt on Alison in his rage. If there was any chance of the Stooges trusting Ali before now, it is dead.

Nate is on a rampage! He tells Jack that he is sick of the way Jun plays the game. Speaking of sneaky, let's talk about you, Alison! Alison is not prepared for the onslaught and does a very unconvincing job of denying and tries some deflection of her own. She's basically sputtering. Nate tells her there is no way in hell she would ever get his vote!

And off he goes. He's furious, he bumps into Jee, who tells him what's between him and Jun is between him and Jun (no kidding – you're an ex, dummy!). They go to the HOH room (Jun is not there) and Nate says it started because Jun came up to him saying "you shouldn't trust Ali" and it just irked him that he shouldn't trust Jun either and he realized that Jun's finger has been on every eviction in the house! (Good morning, Nate!) So, if he's going, he's going tearing down Jun's playhouse. Robert says the women have been stirring things up that didn't need to be all along.

After wake-up, Jun tells Jack that Nathan didn't appreciate the info she was feeding him "for his own good." She snorts that he and Ali get so emotionally invested in all this, "it's just a game kids."

Later, she joins Nate and they discuss how crazy the game is. Jun says she was really just trying to open his eyes to the way Alison plays. Nate implies Ali is her team's problem now. Jun says Ali makes her sick. For some reason, Justin believes what Ali says. Nate says Robert should put Ali up and take Jack down. Jun doesn't think Robert is willing to do anything with the Veto. Not that he's campaigning (wink-wink), but Nate says if they are smart, they will get rid of Ali now. She has Jack and Erika's ear. Nate puts enough of a bug in Jun's ear to make her start thinking.

Naturally, Jun marches off and tells the Stooges that Nathan proposed to her that Robert take Jack off the block and put Alison on it (Jun and Nathan seem to have made peace or called a truce). The Stooges note that Nathan didn't ask for himself to be taken off the block, but Jack. Robert says he's not using it and that's final (though we know it's not final until Justin says it's final!). They tease Jee for dressing up. Such love. Jun notes that Jack said the same thing, Alison should go up. Jun adds that Nathan thinks Justin is wrapped around Alison's finger. Surprise! He denies this! He says he knows when Ali is lying and he knows she is a liar, but she serves a purpose for now. Why mess with it? Meeting adjourned.

Jun tells Erika that Alison's deal not to put the Stooges, should she win HOH, does not make her as safe as she is assuming. Jack tells Erika that he thinks he can get Jee to defect. He has been prying info on Jee out of Jun!

Jun marches back to Nate that Robert won't budge. She hasn't given up though. (Jun appears to be in the business of amassing favors, so when she's in trouble, she's got some favors to call in of her own!). Meanwhile, the Stooges featuring Jun see Jack and Erika as their only hurdle to all four of them being in til the end. At this point, everyone seems to want Alison out, so that will play itself out unless she wins HOH. But, if she does, the worst she can do is put up a Stooge and Jun (not sure where THAT reasoning comes from!), so they may lose somebody, but it would still be three of them against Ali, Jack, and Erika (Nate's tombstone is on order!). Ali can't vote in that scenario, so they can still run things. (Not true. Ali as HOH, say Justin and Jun nominated, none of them can vote! So Jee, Robert, Erika, Jack cancel each other out, it would be up to Ali to cast the deciding vote. Things are not as sewn up as the Stooges think!)

Justin wonders if he can convince Alison to put up Jack and Jun. Then, they can convince Ali that it's Jun they want out, Jack's only a decoy, and vote Jack out! Jun says Ali is sure to nominate her if Ali wins HOH anyway, so why not.

Not so fast, Justin! Ali is discussing her plans with Jack and Erika! First, she is sure Jun and Jee are talking strategy during Jee's "cooking lessons." Jack and Erika don't buy it! Alison, should she win HOH (and the Stooges appear ready to throw the HOH competition so she will!), would like to nominate Justin, but chances are he'd win POV and pull himself off. Who then? If they nominate Jee, Jun would not vote for him to be evicted. Alison figures just as well, surely, Erika, you want Robert gone... (No response. Hmmmmm!) More HOH competition quizzing and studying.

Nate has a "wouldn't it be funny if I joined the Stooges" discussion with Robert. Robert doesn't think it's so wacky, only uh-huhing in the spaces. Not committing to anything. Nate says he has no alliance to anyone anymore. Maybe, if he stays, he can help get Ali out...
