‘Survivor: Pearl Islands’ Contestants Revealed! Sort of…by David Bloomberg -- 08/27/2003
View Printable version of this article It’s almost time for Survivor to begin once again. We are getting ready to leave the Summer of reality TV and enter the Fall season, with fewer – but better-known – shows. Survivor, of course, is the granddaddy of ‘em all. The official introduction of the 16 new contestants who we will soon all come to know and love – or hate – is tomorrow, Thursday, August 28, on The Early Show from 7-9 am. In the meantime CBS has helpfully provided RealityNewsOnline with a preview photo of all 16 contestants. However, there is a catch. As you can see, below, all of their faces have been blacked out and they won’t tell us who they are! ![]() So, do you recognize any of these people? There are a few characteristics that people who know them might be able to identify, such as jewelry, but let’s “face” it – we probably aren’t going to get a whole lot of info off of this photo. Spoilers have been trying to figure out who will be on the show. For example, SurvivorNews.net has found a woman from Mississippi and one from Maryland as possible contestants. Others have apparently identified that there will be three tribes (though whether the game will begin with three tribes or will have the standard two and then a merged tribe is not clear), what the tribe names are, and what the buff colors will be – see this info on Survivor Fever. We will, of course, find out much more tomorrow morning. If you watch the Early Show and find that you know something about one of the contestants, please e-mail us here at RealityNewsOnline. We can either give you credit for your find or keep you anonymous – whichever you prefer. The show will start on September 18 – so there will actually be a couple weeks in which both Big Brother 4 and Survivor: Pearl Islands will both be on!
