Big Brother 4, Labor Day Weekend Live Feed Highlights: Jun’s Nominations!

by David Bloomberg -- 09/02/2003
Jun is back and there’s gonna be trouble – hey na, hey na, Jun is back! Nominations don’t quite go the way everybody expected, but she’s clever about it. The HouseGuests get to hear about the MTV awards, but quickly get into the usual strategy and conversations. Plus, they get to make a movie about their evicted cohorts.

Friday

Alison and Erika are the first to awaken. While the guys sleep on, they try to do something about breakfast. However, neither of them seems like they really know where anything is – especially Alison, who goes from cabinet to cabinet in an attempt to find stuff. Rob and Jee eventually wake up and let the women make the food for them. Then they start strategizing about what to do when Jun comes back.

Jee tells Rob that he (Jee) is the only one who can beat Jun, and he wants to tell Jun to take out Alison. In the same discussion, they talk about trying to convince Alison to save one of them with the Veto. They make a point of saying they shouldn’t threaten her (apparently having learned a lesson from the most recent eviction, where they tried to threaten her into voting out Erika but she responded by going the opposite direction). But if she doesn’t help one of them, she isn’t getting either of their votes at the end.

Jee quickly attempts to enact this plan, telling Alison that she can only make it to second place. So she should take one of them off the block and vote out Erika to do it – if Erika makes the final two, she wins. Alison pleads that she needs the money. Jee keeps on pushing, but about every other line is, “but I’m not threatening you.” Heh.

The doorbell rings – Jun is home! The others immediately bombard her with questions. She says she was with a handler the whole time, had her makeup and clothes done for her. She was interviewed on the red carpet but otherwise not really allowed to talk to people even as they were screaming her name at her. She couldn’t watch TV or read magazines, though she did get to see a movie on the plane. On and on she goes about what she did – which is understandable considering that they have nothing else to do but talk.

Talk amongst the women eventually turns to strategy as Alison tells the other two that Jee was threatening her. Well, so much for his protestations to the contrary!

Nominations are Sunday, and she says she plans to nominate Rob and Alison. Alison will Veto herself and then she will put Jee up on the block. Sneaky!

Saturday

It’s Jee’s birthday! Happy birthday, Jee!

They have a luxury competition today. They need to create a mini-movie about what they think is happening at the jury house. They even get costumes to help them. Their prize? A screening of their own movie. Woohoo. Oh, and they get popcorn too. Apparently, everybody wants to be Dana. Heh. Robert is Nathan, Alison is Jack (she wouldn’t have been my choice!), Erika is Dana, Jee is Justin, Jun is the camera person, though she then switches off and becomes Jack.

Erika (as Dana) dresses up in a black wig and uses black paper to create a gap in her teeth. She walks around saying f*** over and over again and talking about how cool she is. Robert (Nathan) has a blonde wig, drawn-on muscles, a straw hanging from his mouth, and uses an exaggerated Oklahoma accent. Alison (Jack) has a clown wig that is partially bald. Jee (Justin) has a Moe wig from the real Three Stooges. Among other things, he does his impersonation of Justin’s impersonation of Jee!

Various people switch off to be others as the camera changes hands.

Eventually, it’s time to watch their movie. Besides popcorn, they get other movie-type food – Milk Duds, JuJu Fruits, etc. (And they don’t even have to pay $5 a box!) As they watch, the HouseGuests laugh hysterically.

Later, Alison and Jun talk about getting rid of Erika next week. Hmmm. They must realize that she can easily beat either of them in the final two.

Sunday

After slowly waking up and eating a breakfast concoction by Jun, they wander around for a while. Jun, Jee, and Robert discuss the people who were on the show previously and how they got on the show. Jee notes that some fans are probably pissed because he and Robert didn’t even apply for the show!

The nomination ceremony is held. Jun apparently changed her mind a little bit while keeping overall the same strategy – she nominates Alison and Jee. It seems that Jee was surprised at first, but then Jee recognizes that it is a good move and talks to Rob about it. Jun thinks the guys really believed Alison would save one of them. (Of course, knowing the way Alison flip-flops, she just might have!)
