Big Brother 4, September 3 Live Feed Highlights: Night of a Million Lies

by David Bloomberg -- 09/05/2003
There are only four people left after Jee is voted out, but in only the few remaining hours on Wednesday night, all of them are scheming in eighteen different ways. Who will be nominated? Who should be voted out? What is Rob thinking as they head to the endgame? Plus, the food competition. It’s all answered right here.

After the live show ended on Wednesday, the HouseGuests began discussing what it was like to see their old comrades. They noted the tropical location and how everybody looked better than they had while still in the house.

This week, Veto will be back to its original place – after nominations. (We weren’t really sure if there even would be a Veto this week – but I guess Julie Chen would have been going on and on about it being the final one if indeed it had been.)

Robert “can’t freaking believe” that he’s in the final three. It’s so money. Okay, whatever. And he gets to compete next week, too, because historically the last HOH is open to everyone. Meanwhile, Erika still can’t believe she lost it by going over a few lousy hours. (I agree. It’s a stupid way to set up the rules.)

Alison believes that Rob will put up herself and Jun. No, c’mon! He’s not so stupid that he would purposely keep Erika around! Alison tells Erika that they should agree to use the Veto on each other and make sure Jun leaves. Oh, yeah, I’m sure Alison is being honest about that.

The HOH room is opened for Rob. He gets the usual bunch of stuff, but most important to him is a letter from his daughter (or possibly about his daughter – it’s not quite clear). All of the women comfort him as he sniffles. Awwww.

Now it’s time for the food competition. Previously they had all made piñatas for the competition. Now it’s time to bust ‘em up. Each HouseGuest has to break their own piñata while blindfolded. They then have ten seconds to grab as many pesos as possible and put them in their bucket. If the totals are under 500, it’s PB&J all week. 600 gives them regular food. 1400 gets them dinner from a Mexican restaurant (another sponsor?). And 2400 gives them a daily choice for dinner.

They are out of PB&J range immediately when Jun gets 650 pesos. Erika only gets 170. Alison really helps the cause with 1060 pesos. And Robert brings it home with 940 more! The final total of 2820 pesos gets them the daily dinner choices!

But that isn’t enough for the HouseGuests, who go through the booty inside the broken piñatas to see if there is anything they can keep.

When they get back inside, the dining room table has been replaced again by a smaller one. Oh my! I’m sure we’ll see all sorts of highly interesting comments from the HouseGuests about that on tonight’s show. Yippee.

Alison, Erika, and Rob are talking outside a bit later. Alison claims that when Dana was there and hated Alison, Alison never said anything bad about her. And she is always nice in her Diary Room sessions. Yes, and a pink bunny delivers baskets full of candy to good little boys and girls on Easter. Sheesh.

Rob says that whoever wins will win by a score of 4-3. He might be right. He also thinks the next America’s Choice or luxury competition will be so they can see websites that write about them. Well, we already know that’s not the next America’s Choice, but when it does come up, I encourage Big Brother producers to remember RealityNewsOnline!

In the HOH room, Rob and Erika talk some more. He says that he, Justin, and Jee had an alliance (no, really?) and it was nothing personal. Justin and Jee thought she was strong and wanted her out. But now, he says, all he has is her and her friendship. (I’m gonna vomit.) It would be best for the two of them to go to the finals together. (You’ve gotta be kidding me.) Rob says he wants Alison out now – she’s too difficult to beat when it comes to the final three (yeah, but she’d be cake to win against in the final two!). But Erika thinks Jun should go first. In any case, he promises Erika that if he wins HOH again next week, he’ll take her with him. (Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!) He says that he doesn’t care if he wins or takes second place. If he takes second, he’d be happy to see her win. Oh fercryingoutloud. Can’t you people play with strategy?! Well, maybe Erika is as she says if they get rid of Jun, it’s a deal. I suspect she would rather face Alison than Rob in the finals. Heh.

Alison and Jun have already figured out what Rob is planning – nominate the two of them and try to get Erika to vote off Alison. Alison talks to Rob later and he tells her that she and Jun are indeed going up. But he says he didn’t talk to Erika about who to evict – that’s her decision. Alison says they will need an army to stop her from getting the Veto this week!

Meanwhile, Erika tells Jun that Alison is going. Then Alison joins them and says that Rob claimed he doesn’t care who goes and he’s not even going to try for the Veto. Erika agrees that Rob had not indicated any preference in who leaves this week. The lies are flying in the house tonight!

While everybody goes to bed, Erika and Rob get back up and talk some more. Rob thinks it would look better to the jury to take in somebody nice rather than somebody hated. Oh please. But before I can even bring up the Colby/Tina situation from Survivor 2, Erika does it for me. Yeah, that really helped Colby. Not.

In all of their going back and forth, it now seems that they are going to vote out Alison because if the final HOH competition is endurance, she will do much better than Jun. Now they just have to convince Jun that if she gets the Veto, she will still vote out Alison. Yeah, right. I rather doubt Jun subscribes to the “bring a nice person to the final two with you” idea.

Finally, they go to bed for the night.
