View Printable version of this article Previously, Michelle whines. Katina gets pissed at the pledges. Carmen puts her foot in her mouth. No one’s crossing over and no one’s ready for the spring culture night performances. At the pledge house, Katina’s using the computer and Michelle comes in the room. Katina asks not to be touched, so of course Michelle gives her a big hug anyway. Michelle says at first she was scared of Katina because she’s so intimidating. Katina says some of the actives don’t understand Michelle. She tells Michelle she’s late to get her coffee but she can get her a donut. Then Monica shows up (with coffee) and she and Michelle start making jokes about being lesbians. Katina asks them not to share, saying, “I don’t want to hear it, thank you very largely.” Katina says she’s trying to reach out to the pledges. Carmen, meanwhile, wants to reach out to her boyfriend Ricardo, who is her relief from pledging. She says they balance each other out. I don’t think we need to know who the unbalanced one is. Katina comes over to help the pledges cook for the actives, so they won’t burn the place down. It looks like a mondo pan of mac and cheese, and a bunch of other stuff. Katina and Michelle go running while the food bakes. After dinner, Katina says this is her way of reaching out to the pledges. But no one’s reaching out with dish soap. The dishes sit there, marinating in their own juices. Wednesday someone says the kitchen smells like foot. Thursday night at an event, Katina says she wants her plates back. The girls should be tidy and more proud of their surroundings. Jen and Val, meanwhile, have a chat with Carmen, who they say argues and gives excuses all the time. So Carmen yells back at them. She says they’re just not trying to deal with her personality and they should learn to accept someone’s faults and not change them. The sisters say this could be detrimental to her crossing over. Carmen’s on the phone with Ricardo, who doesn’t understand why she has to go to an event. They fight and he says he doesn’t want to see her anymore. Carmen winds up going to the pledge event, but leaves early. Val says, “It’s always an excuse.” Val says that with two weeks left in the pledging, it’s important for the pledges to get to know the actives. Sister Stacie asks Michelle and Monica if the kitchen is clean, they say it is. Katina announces she’ll go to the house later to check. So Michelle locks herself in the bathroom, desperate to find a pledge who’s home who can do the dishes. They can’t find anyone. So they make an excuse that Monica has to go to her dorm. Katina gives them 20 minutes. They race home, do the dishes and make it back, only five minutes late. Katina says their smile gives them away and she can’t deal with lies, she’s disappointed in them. She says all she asks for is respect. She tells them they’ve been the super troopers of the sorority and she’s trying to reach out to them. Michelle and Monica go home with the proper amount of guilt on their shoulders. But no one’s home and they’re locked out of the house. They finally find an open kitchen window. I guess it’s good they did all the dishes so Michelle doesn’t faceplant into Sunday’s dinner. There’s a week to go in the pledging and everything is starting to wear, especially the MTV cameras on Carmen. Janelle says you get used to it. Carmen calls the mic pack a “tumor.” Salina says Carmen can’t deal with the cameras because of her personality. Four days until SCN practice. Things aren’t going well. Janelle says the performance reflects on her. Carmen gets a phone call and flips out into a total drama queen moment when the camera gets in her face. She threatens to leave the house. Katina’s down at the Orpheum Theater finalizing plans for SCN. While she’s inside her car is impounded. She calls the pledge house, saying whoever picks her up will get major points. Unfortunately for her, it’s Carmen. View Printable version of this article |
