Will Ted Nugent Survive Himself?

Rock star and all-around outspoken guy Ted Nugent has injured himself during the reality show that is supposed to see if other people can survive him!

Nugent, who starred in the one-off two-hour reality show, Surviving Nugent, last October, is currently in the thick of an extension of that show into a series, Surviving Nugent: The Ted Commendments. The idea of the show is to put city folks through the paces until they become outdoorsy enough to suit Ted (if that ever happens).

The show is being taped this time on Nugent’s huge compound outside of Waco, Texas. Yes, I know, the last time we heard about a compound outside of Waco it involved a cult, and Nugent does have a cult-like following, but I’m pretty sure the two are not connected. Hopefully.

But seriously, Nugent was injured on the set of the show when a chainsaw cut into his leg, requiring 40 stitches. It is not clear at this time whether he was involved in doing something specifically related to the show or not, but we can be pretty sure that even if he was, this probably will not air. If indeed it involved something on the show, it does make one wonder how he can expect city slickers to handle these tasks when they are dangerous even to him.

Still, never let it be said that Nugent is a slacker. After getting stitched up, he returned to the show wearing a brace on his leg. The show is expected to finish taping Sunday and air in April.

Others expected to be featured prominently on the show are his son, Rocco, his wife, Sheman, and ranch workers “Big Jim” and “Big John.” Apparently, you need to have “Big” in your name to work for Nugent.

The winner this time will get $100,000, as opposed to the $25,000 for the one-off special. That is, if they survive Nugent.
