Or so you would think. That night, Shandi, Sara, Mercedes, and Camille go to a club. They joke around, doing their dance moves, and Shandi is approached by a guy who tells her that the four of them are the hottest girls at the club. He asks Shandi for her phone number but she doesn’t give it to him. Apparently though, she gets his. The girls call it a night from here.

The next day, the girls arrive at the studio, where they will be tested. April says that she has a bad vibe. Tony tells them that when he got home that night, he was thinking of each girl individually, however, when he got to April, he could barely remember her. He couldn’t think of her as special. Of course, April is crushed, as usual, and says that it hurt. Tony lets the girls know that today, they will learn a routine, be tested on it, and the one that does the best will win a night with two music celebrities. Each girl learns the routine and Sara is forced to tell Tony about her knee since it hurts so much. They begin the competition though, and if they are tapped on the shoulder, they are out. Sara is tapped out first, and says that she is sick of losing. Shandi goes next, saying the pressure hit her. Mercedes is out and states that she sucked both times. Yoanna goes out next, with Tony saying that she can’t find the rhythm. He also says that Camille has stepped up her game and that April has the routine down pat. April wins, with Mercedes giving the camera a “Surprise, surprise!” April can pick two people to go with her that night, and she takes Sara and Shandi. They find out they will be going out with ODB and RZA from the Wu-Tang Clan. April feels much better, and winning that competition gave her a morale boost.

Back at the house, Yoanna does an imitation of April in the confessional, while Mercedes watches. Basically, she says April looks constipated, and Mercedes adds that April has a tendency to over-analyze everything. They do more mocking of April. Actually, strike that, Yoanna does more mocking. Shandi is on the phone again, with her boyfriend, telling him how some guy was dancing with her the other night, and he touched her hips! Her boyfriend says that’s hypocritical because he wasn’t even allowed to go to the movies with a friend of theirs, but she is out there dancing with other guys. The worst part is – she admits to him that she never told the other guy that she has a boyfriend. He hangs up on her, like he rightfully should have.

The girls prepare for dinner, and shortly thereafter, the rappers arrive. All the girls introduce themselves to the rappers and vice versa. Shandi says she is going to have fun, and they all pile into a Hummer limo! Okay, I’m jealous. The rappers are saying stuff, but I can’t understand a word coming out of their mouths, especially ODB. Something about air conditioning – I have no idea. So anyway, they go to some French restaurant, have their own room, and everyone has a good time, especially Shandi, who ends up cuddling with Kinetic? Where did this guy come from? Okay, this whole segment threw me for one heck of a loop.

More Tyra mail! This time, it tells them to come shake their bodies – her way – at 7 a.m. As they get to the studio, they find Jay Manuel, who tells them they will be dancing in a music video, for Tyra Banks’s debut single, ”Shake Ya Body.” Just then, Tyra comes out. She tells the camera that she has been known as a model for a long time, but is now ready to move into music – she’s very nervous about it. Kennedy, the director, tells the girls to prepare for a long day. They each get ready and everyone is pumped. From the clips of the song I’m able to hear, it sounds pretty decent. Shandi calls Tyra Superwoman because of all the hard work she puts in. Each girl has to walk down a runway in the video. April goes first and says she will walk to show that she wants to win, and on her way back, she shoulder bumps Yoanna, who is next out. Yoanna is pissed and doesn’t want to be touched. I’m not even sure if April bumped her on purpose or not; we are never told. Mercedes says she is stepping it up, then Camille, Sara, and Shandi all do their walks as well. Sara says they are all worried because there are only six girls left, so it’s slim pickings as to who will be eliminated next. Mercedes even notes that it’s hit or miss.

Each girl now has to dance solo in the middle of a crowd. Kennedy says Sara is thinking too much, and isn’t really moving. He is impressed with Camille, though. Yoanna is all over the place, and falls on her way back to her spot, which makes Shandi laugh. Mercedes is feeling good, but totally messes up the choreography. April does well, as usual, and states that she doesn’t want to just win the competition to win in general, but her heart wants it as well. Shandi says she is having way too much fun, and it doesn’t even feel like a job. With that, the girls are done.

At the house, the girls get Tyra mail telling them that they will meet with the judges the next day. Someone is going home, and Sara is dreading it. She’s nervous because she knows she wants to win this more than any of the other girls. Camille doesn’t want to doubt herself, or she’ll have a negative attitude. Yoanna isn’t sure what’s going on this week, or who will be going home. April is crying on the phone to her boyfriend, thinking that she isn’t doing her best. Shandi tells the camera that April is too scared of losing, and we see April crying again, telling her boyfriend that she has come too far to lose now.
