America’s Next Top Model 2 Final Report – So How Did I Do?

Back in December, Phil made his predictions on how each contestant this season on America’s Next Top Model would do. So how accurate were his predictions? Some were right on the button, but others, like Yoanna (right), were not quite as perfect.
Back in December, when I first found out that I would be recapping America’s Next Top Model 2, I decided that a preview article was necessary in order to acquaint the viewers, not to mention myself, with the contestants that would be involved. In that article, I read each girl’s biography and took at look at her audition video. Based on those two things, I formed an opinion on each girl and predicted about how far in the competition she would get. So, how did I do? Let’s take a look!
Anna: In my preview article, I said that I didn’t think Anna would fit in with the other girls because she was coming across as too genuine. I was right in that aspect. Anna was eliminated partly because she refused to take part in the first photo shoot, which was shot with the girls wearing nothing but body paint and jewels. I pegged her as a motherly type that would do her best to accommodate the other girls and that is exactly what she was – at least for the one episode we got to see her in. Finally, I said that I wasn’t sure how Anna would do because she seemed to be there for the experience, not so much for the competition, so I left it in the air. Well, I’m going to say I was right because she could have gone either way. So right now, I’m 1/1
Bethany: Wow, I was really wrong with this one! I said that Bethany would be around for a good while and not start any trouble. Bethany, according to most of the other girls, caused a good deal of trouble for the time she was there. In fact, when I got to interview her, she said she wishes she had kept her mouth shut a few times, but that’s just the way she is. So, I was wrong on the whole thing about her being around for a good while too. However, I was right about her being beautiful. Most people had issues with the size of her breasts, but I thought Bethany was pretty well proportioned. Oh well, I’m ˝ as it stands.
Heather: Hmm, this is a tough one. I predicted that Heather would not really get along with the other girls on the show because she seemed somewhat shallow. Although I didn’t find her to be shallow on the show, she didn’t really connect with any of the other girls. Therefore, I was right in thinking that she wouldn’t be around long – because she wasn’t. I think that had Heather been away from home before, she would have adapted to the show better and been around a little longer. However, since it was her first time being away from her family, it was somewhat of a culture shock, especially since leaving them for the first time meant going on a reality show where her every move would be taped. All in all though, I was right about the way she was, and that makes me 2/3.
Jenascia: I said that Jenascia seemed like such a cool woman and was full of spunk. I could not have been any more dead on! For most of the time that Jenascia was on the show, she was the source of entertainment, not to mention the narrator! She had so many one-liners that they just had to air them all. I knew her height would become a problem, but I didn’t think it would be her demise from day one. Maybe if she wasn’t late for the first shoot she could have gotten further due to her merit. I said that Jenascia must have patience because she works at Hooters, but I was wrong in that sense. We all know she was a pretty big fireball at times. However, we loved her for it! All-in-all, I’m going to say that I was right about Jenascia, even though I never predicted when she would be eliminated, but I did get about 75% of her personality correct. I’m 3/4!
Xiomara: I pegged Xiomara as an “exotic beauty” and I think I hit the nail on the head with that one. I also pointed out her personality and the way her positive energy just came right through in her pictures and audition video. On all these accounts, I was dead on. I didn’t expect Xiomara to win, but I didn’t think she would go right away either, so I was right in that aspect as well. Lastly, I stated that right from the beginning, I knew I loved her. Well, I was right there, too! From the second J. Alexander told her that she “walked like she was on crack” and that she “looked like she was scared of something,” I knew she had my heart – and still does. Oh, I’m 4/5!
Catie: Hmm, another one that I pegged exactly the way she turned out. I said that Catie would probably last around midway and then she would start to rub the other girls the wrong way. I could not have been more right! Also, I said that she would create a stir for the time she was there and we all know how true that was with her constant crying and complaining. She came across as that all-American girl, but didn’t know how to use that to her advantage. She did go halfway in the competition and did seem to get on everyone’s nerves by the time of her elimination. Personally, I secretly thought she would be around much longer then she actually was, but after seeing her video and hearing her say, “Oh, by the way, I hate models,” I knew she wouldn’t last until the final four. Wow, I’m 5/6!
