Last summer, producer Mark Burnett's show The Restaurant was a huge hit for NBC. In the final episode, its star, celebrity chef Rocco DiSpirito, mentioned that most restaurants fail within the first year. Luckily for him, his restaurant, Rocco's on 22nd, was not one of them. And luckily for Rocco fans, we'll soon see how that last year has been. The second season of The Restaurant will premiere on Monday, April 19th, at 10:00 Eastern.

The first season of the show chronicled the trials and tribulations Rocco had in getting his restaurant up and running. He had to find a space, hire staff, train the chefs, open the restaurant, and deal with tough reviews from critics, as well as some disgruntled employees. While those issues may have been settled, Rocco's is far from being free of drama.

Much of the action this season will stem from a conflict between Rocco and his financier Jeffrey Chodorow. Since Rocco's on 22nd opened, the restaurant has lost over $600,000. In the first episode Jeffrey will propose taking the reigns from Rocco and having his Corporate Task Force run the restaurant. Rocco won't take that lying down, and calls his lawyers for a showdown.

The second season of The Restaurant will also feature several members of Rocco's staff that we got to know in the first season. We'll see chef Tony, captains Uzay and Emily, waiters Carrie and Al, general manager Laurent, and of course, Rocco's inspiration, Mama.

It should definitely be interesting to see how a battle like this shapes up on a reality TV show where everybody knows they are being filmed. Things should really get cooking!
