American Idol Postponed a Day Due To President Bushby David Bloomberg -- 04/13/04
View Printable version of this article Fox has put out a notice that American Idol will be postponed a day because President Bush will be having a press conference Tuesday night in the usual AI timeslot. Therefore, the performance show will air on Wednesday, April 14, at 8/7 Central time. The results show will be an hour long and will air on Thursday, April 15, also at 8/7 Central time. Quentin Tarantino will be the guest judge, and the eight remaining finalists will be performing movie themes. Obviously, President Bush is not a fan of American Idol, or else he never would have allowed his press conference to conflict with the show. Doesn’t he know that more people are interested in voting for the next American Idol than the next president? This will not help him gain votes in the coming election. One thing is for certain, though. This gives new meaning to Mike DeGeorge’s favorite saying, “It’s all about the George, baby!” David Bloomberg is the Editor of Foxes On Idol, and can be reached at RNO@pobox.com.
