In another case of people not answering the question posed to them, Carolyn asks Sandy what her role was. Sandy responds that she also thought the price was too high. Huh? Carolyn repeats the question. Sandy says she was in charge of the set and preparing all the demos. George asks if she is aware that she drove the people at QVC crazy. Heh. Ivana is trying hard to stifle laughter, but not doing a great job of it. George says she micromanaged and it was just a 12-minute spot. She says she’s just a hard worker, but George retorts that he saw her on the set arranging apples! “Come on!” Carolyn joins in, saying it was wasted effort.

Sandy keeps trying to defend herself, saying she wasn’t sure what angle the shots would be from, etc. Carolyn says that at that point the set was already designed so she could have been helping elsewhere. Sandy just says that’s what she was tasked to do. Carolyn points out that Sandy wasted hours on picking colors and designing all of this when the task was to sell the product. Again, Sandy claims that she didn’t know where the camera shots would be, so she had to make sure everything looked right. George chimes in that all she had to do was tell the control booth what shots to take!

Ivana jumps in to defend Sandy (why?), saying the set was the job Sandy was delegated. Trump picks up on this and wonders if she’s saying not everybody was delegated tasks properly. Ivana says that they weren’t all used to their maximum capacity – she was overloaded but the rest of the team was not used optimally. Sandy uses the Rob defense and says she did what she was told to do, and if anybody wanted to pull her away from that, she was available. Mind you, Rob was the first person fired this season, so using his excuse is not really too smart. Now we see why, in the Yahoo additions, Trump, George, and Carolyn wanted to know why Pamela had not brought Sandy into the Boardroom. Frankly, I think Pamela made a huge error in not doing so. She was so focused on the people she disliked that she didn’t notice Sandy being grilled and not really having a good defense.

George says he didn’t see any of them stand up and volunteer for more responsibility, but Sandy claims she told Pamela she was available. Jennifer says she knows George is wrong because she had to become the lead spokesperson just a few minutes before they went live. Um, you didn’t volunteer for that, you were thrust into that role. There is a difference.

The next new footage we see is Pamela flat-out lying. Maria says that Pamela grossly misused the people on the team. As an example, she says that she should have been used not just as a speaker, but as part of the production team. Pamela says she was on that team and was supposed to be writing the script. Wha?! Where the heck did that come from – other than Pamela’s fertile imagination? Maria’s chin almost hits the table with the stunned look she gives, and I can’t blame her.

Of course, all of this leads to Trump telling Pamela that she doesn’t have a good assessment of people and firing her. That much we already knew. (And if you want to know all the reasons, check out my article, Why Pamela Lost.)

All in all, this additional Boardroom footage helped us in a number of ways. First, it showed that for the second week in a row, Sandy escaped the Boardroom when it would have been logical for the Project Manager to take her in. Second, it showed a bit more of Ivana’s personality, though it didn’t so much pertain to this particular episode. And third, it showed that Pamela could sit there and lie like a rug. We had previously seen it with her insistence that nobody had told her the price was too high. Now we have also seen it with her claim that Maria was supposed to be writing the script.

But we won’t see it anymore, because she was fired.
