This is the second of two back-to-back half-hour episodes of Caesars 24/7 airing tonight. Read on to get the lowdown of the second episode. You can read about the first episode here.

A young gambler intends to take his $10,000 and double it so he can take an extended vacation. And two comedy buddies who have had varying levels of success reunite after 18 months, when one has a surprise for the other.

Pit Boss Joe Comastro introduces us to loan analyst Juan and his friend Josh. Juan further explains that he intends to either double his stake or go bust playing blackjack. His reason is, he’s tired of his job and wants to take six months off work. In the first five minutes, he’s down $500, but then he wins a grand. As we leave Juan, he decides to kick it up a notch and play two hands at once.

We next meet Michele, who is a regular in the high roller slots rooms. She won over $100,000 playing slots the day she bought her hot red car. Michele has set her loss limit at $10,000 today, but hopes to turn it into $100,000. As she says, “There’s always another toy to be bought!” She scans the room, watching the other players to see who’s betting and not winning.

Former-comedian Steve started a career in comedy and had his own club. Unfortunately, it went bankrupt after a few years. Steve took it pretty hard and left the business.

Gary met Steve 15 years ago in an improv class. Things have worked out better for Gary, and he’s a working comic. Steve doesn’t know that Gary is planning to get Steve up on stage and give him another shot. “Dreams come true here,” their bartender says.

Slot winner Michele tells us she likes to play the $100 machines. She picks out a poker slots machine and puts in a thousand to start. Initially, she’s losing.

Harry calls his wife Stacy, “K.O.D.” It means, “Kiss Of Death,” and he calls her that because no matter how well he’s doing gambling, he loses when she comes around. To make losing more fun, they decide to play a sort of “negative” game. A player keeps spinning until they win, and the person who runs the money to zero wins their game. Now, the odds say you should expect to lose in Vegas, but of all the kinky plans I’ve heard, this one’s in the lead. There are sexual side bets such that no matter who wins (or is it loses?) they’ll end up back in the room together. OK, that part makes sense!

Comedian Steve sits in the front row for Gary’s set, and he’s starting to get the bug to get back into comedy. He says, “I wouldn’t call it a green envy sort of thing… maybe an aquamarine envy?” Gary finishes up and Steve thinks Gary did great. I guess we didn’t see the funny stuff. Whatever, it’s time for the club owner (“Fats”) and Gary to tell Steve he’s going on. Steve starts to get nervous. But we’re changing scenes at lightning pace tonight, so it’s off to…

…Juan, who is doing well at the blackjack tables. As he chats with one of the other players, she offers him a job in commercial real estate on the west coast! Also, he’s about halfway to his goal of winning $10,000. Nice. Unfortunately, it’s time to change dealers. But even that doesn’t slow him down, and he’s up $9,100 in 75 minutes. Juan raises the stakes to $500 a hand, and Pit Boss Joe Comastro is sure Juan is going to make his goal.

Meanwhile, our lucky losers/winners are having a tight battle – neither can win. They must have just about filled that dollar slot machine right up. They’re down to the last few spins and… Harry makes the final, losing spin! Stacy is “K.O.D.” no longer! As they hang the “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door, Stacy says, “It’s time for my husband to pay for the side bet that he lost.”

Slot winner Michele hits a nice one, $1,375. Nice.

But it’s quickly over to Juan, whose luck is changing. So do the dealers, so he hangs in a little longer. But the new dealer is killing Juan, and in almost no time at all he’s gone all the way back to down to actually being $25 in the hole! Despite being one hand away from his goal, Juan lost over $9,000 in 45 minutes! Juan and Josh decide to walk away and Juan’s going back to work… but maybe in west coast commercial real estate!

In 90 minutes, Michele has won a thousand dollars and she, too, decides to call it quits. That’s the secret to being a winning gambler, set limits of time and money and stick to them. So she says she had fun, but no new toys for Michele tonight.

It’s time to wrap up our last story of the night, at the Comedy Club. Steve does a pretty good job with some self-depreciating comments and some relationship humor. Club owner Fats is impressed enough to tell Scott he’ll “help him out if he’s interested.” He is! Fats says that Steve “is unique, he doesn’t look like your boy next door.”

You know who Steve Scarfo looks like? A heavier Scott Savol, of American Idol! Ha!

Steve ends the show saying, “If you can get a show here, it’s the place to be.”

In Conclusion: Tonight’s episode of Caesars 24/7 was called, “Take a Walk on the Wild Side.” Although watching Juan get close to his goal was tantalizing, I put this episode on a par with the last. Another “C-.” With so many edit cuts, it was hard to get into either the “K.O.D.” or “Slot Girl” stories.

Next week: It looks like the show may be changing timeslots, as the website says it will air next on Saturday, April 2, at 6/5 Central (with another immediately following). I’ll be here to recap them for you.
