“We Just Didn't Work Well Together”: An Interview with Survivor’s Angieby David Bloomberg -- 03/22/2005
View Printable version of this article Angie is a woman of few words, at least when being interviewed. However, in those words she tells us why Ulong didn’t do well, why Ibrehem was the target in the most recent Tribal Council, why she voted for Bobby Jon when Ibrehem received immunity, and more! RealityNewsOnline: Hello, Angie, and thanks for taking the to answer these questions from RealityNewsOnline! Obviously, you came into Survivor with a look that most people would find different – what was your initial plan to overcome the problem of people judging a book by its cover? Angie: Just let people get to know me. RNO: Why do you think Coby appeared to align with you immediately, but then turned around and chose somebody else when the tribes were being picked? Angie: I think he thought I would be weaker than Caryn. RNO: In the bathroom-building challenge, you talked about not needing help with the tools; in other challenges we saw you running, jumping, shoving people underwater, and more. Where do you think Jolanda got the idea that you were weak in challenges? Angie: I think it's because I don't look strong, like someone who works out in a gym. RNO: Other than the very first week, when you built a coalition to overthrow Jolanda, was there any scheming and plotting going on at Ulong, or was the focus solely on who was the weakest that particular day? Angie: There was some scheming, but it was very hard to try and change the "guys are strongest" mentality. RNO: Do you have any explanation as to why Ulong simply could not win immunity challenges? Angie: We just didn't work well together and no one wanted to listen to anyone else. RNO: Considering how he had done in prior challenges, why was Ulong so set to vote off Ibrehem? Angie: He never really did that good, he was very mediocre. He was also very mediocre around camp as well – didn't do anything bad, but didn't really do anything great either. RNO: Did you behave any differently in Tribal Council, knowing that Koror was watching? Angie: No, I didn't care they were there, only that they were eating in front of us. RNO: Why did you choose to vote for Bobby Jon after Ibrehem got immunity? Angie: I had a mini-alliance with James and Steph. RNO: What do you think you could have done differently to last longer? Angie: Been on Koror. RNO: Is there anything else you want to tell our readers about yourself or your time on "Survivor"? Angie: It was a great experience. RNO: Thanks again, Angie!
