The Biggest Loser 2, Finale: The Final Weigh-InPage 2View Printable version of this article Here’s a chart to show how they did:
So – Pete wins the $100,000, beating Mark by a single pound! Could the “Biggest Loser” be an eliminated player? Some notes from the weigh-in process – Kathryn is same weight as when she left the show. Pete informs us that his wife has also lost 70 pounds, and she stands up in the audience looking very slim. And as they go to commercial, Caroline has Pete pick her up and swing her around! Ha - cute! OK, we’re half done and it’s time to deal with our three finalists, Seth, Suzy, and Matt. Caroline shows video-diary entries and other clips of them back in the real world, jumping from person to person. Suzy misses Bob. Matt is motivated purely by the money, and thinks he needs to lose another 40 pounds. Suzy finds after three weeks, she is having some troubles incorporating what she learned, and has more trouble fitting in than she expected. She admits that she’s struggling. Seth is trying to work hard, playing hockey and running. Then, his young son has a seizure and he binges to deal with some of the stress. However, he gets himself back on track, saying, “I know how fast fat happens.” Matt has a mini-triathalon and competitive wrestling in his future. He won’t be happy unless he can compete at the highest level, which he hopes can mean a national team and/or Olympics. In the clips we see, it’s not going perfectly just yet. And while training one day, an accidental head-butt leads to a concussion and that is his setback. He’s had concussions before, and seizures resulted, so this is serious. However, knowing Matt, he’ll find a way to refocus. Caroline relates to us that she hasn’t seen the final three either. We pick up our stories with Matt at his doctor, getting a consultation about his concussions. The doctor tells Matt the impact of this concussion isn’t major, but recommends non-contact sports. He’s been warned before that the next one could be serious, but Matt is unconvinced, he’s still focused on his Olympic goals. Suzy is feeling very alone in the real world. She decides to open up to her mother, in the squeaky voice we’ve learned to love (and dogs have learned to fear). Mom tells her what a role model she’s become, and what she’s doing is important. It seems to help her. Seth has found out, “It’s really easy to eat bad,” but he’s making the effort. He feels it’s more expensive and takes a higher commitment to eat properly, but worth it. His wife is pleasantly surprised by the changes. Seth says, “It’s like I have a fire inside of me. I’m so excited to be alive!” Matt is shown returning to his favorite bar in Iowa. I don’t know if it’s in Invasion: Iowa site Riverside, or not! He tells us he started drinking at age 13. He knows that one drink, and he’s back in trouble again, so he sips water while his buddies are slamming brewskis and shots. He’s not getting any support from his slacker friends, who can’t stop with all the embarrassing “old Matt” stories. He’s a new Matt; he needs new friends. There’s a series of Suzy shots commenting each time her jeans get smaller – 10, 8, and showing off her butt. Cute! Seth is shown wearing a pair of his old, large shorts – there’s room for two Seths in there. He warns the other competitors, “You better be scared, because I’m coming to the finale lookin’ really, really good!” This segment ends with all three working out like demons and vowing they’re going to win. <--Previous 1 2 3 Next-->View Printable version of this article |
