Up now are Kym Johnson and Jerry Springer. Kym says that the samba is everything that Jerry isn’t. Jerry seconds that sentiment by stating that he feels the samba isn’t his dance. To help out, Kym makes Jerry dress for the samba and get a spray on tan. Didn’t I warn people not to do that last week?

The duo is doing the samba to “Eso Beso.” The routine stars off with Jerry going crazy and making faces. As in previous weeks, he does more entertaining then dancing. He’s late a few times with his moves, but he’s having fun. I don’t mean to anger Sara’s fans, but I actually enjoy this performance more than I enjoyed her routine.

Carrie Ann tells Jerry that he is hysterical. She also explains that Jerry is communicating through his dance; he touches people and does the basics well. Len says to Jerry that he relates to him and looks forward to his performances more than anyone else’s. He’s going to give him the highest score he ever gave him due to the entertainment value of the routine. Bruno refers to the performance as insanity. He thinks it should be a sketch.

All of the judges give the performance an eight; Kym and Jerry have 24 points. After receiving his score, Jerry asks that prison guards give the inmates a call so that they can vote for him.

Monique Coleman and Louis Van Amstel are ready with their performance. Monique tells us that it was awful being in the bottom two last week. Louis looks at the camera and tells the audience that he wants to read a book with me. Just kidding. Monique states that Louis uses a lot of metaphors when he describes moves and techniques to her, and that he teaches in a holistic way. She then says that their performance might fog up our televisions. Nice!

They are performing the rumba to “Summer Samba (So Nice).” The dance starts off slowly and seductively. Monique shows off some great footwork. At the end, she does a move that involves her almost being on her head with one leg in the air. Impressive.

Bruno tells Monique that she is like forbidden fruit; everyone wants her, but nobody can have her. Carrie Ann says that she loves how grounded Monique is; however, she internalizes too much. She should project more. Len says the routine was great and contagious. I’m not sure what we’re going to catch from it, but I think we’ll make it.

Again, each judge gives Monique and Louis a nine; they now have 27 points out of 30. They are very restrained in their excitement and show little emotion. They’re probably afraid that they aren’t going to get enough support from the viewers. Friends, I implore you to vote for Monique and Louis!

The last couple this evening is Cheryl Burke and Emmitt Smith. We see Emmitt with his family. His kids are absolutely adorable. Cheryl tells Emmitt that he’s going to move his pelvis a lot for tonight’s dance. To prepare, Emmitt goes to the chiropractor and gets adjusted. There’s more cracking at his appointment than at a plumbers’ convention.

They are doing the samba to “Cha Cha.” Emmitt certainly shakes his body and has a great time doing so. He also does a fantastic job. His football training is coming back as his timing is right on with some of the trickier moves that her performs. Emmitt and Cheryl’s routine is the best I’ve seen from the couple. It is fun, energetic, and engaging.

Len says that Emmitt is back and the performance was the best samba of the night. Bruno tells Emmitt he has nothing to worry about. Carrie Ann stands up and shakes her body; I almost fell off of the couch earlier, so I can relate.

The trend continues and each judge gives the couple a nine. Cheryl and Emmitt have 27 points.

The judges have had their say and the stars know where they stand going into the viewers’ vote:

RANKINGSTARSCORE
1 Emmitt 27
1 Mario 27
1 Monique 27
1 Willa 27
5 Joey 25
6 Jerry 24
6 Sara 24

As always, I’m ready with my incorrect prediction: Sara and Tony will be eliminated tomorrow evening. (I don’t know why I pick them each week; they keep advancing and proving me wrong.) Tune in to find out if I’m right and be sure to read RealityNewsOnline for the latest news and updates in reality television.
