‘Flavor Of Love 2’ DVD – A Review

You have already lived through the whole season with me while I recapped this show. You remember the fist fight between H-Town and Saaphyri in the first five minutes the girls got in the house. There’s no doubt you remember Somethin’ dropping a deuce on the floor right after the first elimination. I sure as heck know you didn’t forget New York spewing out every expletive known to man when Flavor Flav chose Deelishis over her. Well, guess what? It’s time to relive it all over again – VH1 has released its goldmine series, Flavor of Love 2, on DVD.

If you know anything about me from my recaps, it’s that I love anything free! I don’t care WHAT it is! So when I was able to get my grubby little paws on this series on DVD, I was all over it like Toasteee on a glass of champagne!

Of course, I re-watched the season from beginning to end, and since this DVD is the unrated version, I got to hear every “bleep” for what it really was! These girls have some mouths on them, but you already knew that!

The one thing that is lacking from the DVD set is the reunion special, which is not included. I was a bit disappointed when I saw they left it out, and I’m guessing it’s because they rushed the season out on DVD to strike while the iron is hot. If that’s the case, they probably did not include it since it was taped well after the season ended.

Don’t let that stop you from getting the DVD though! VH1 did pack it with tons of great bonus features, which are also unrated, so you get to see the girls in all their raunchy glory! Let’s go over the bonus features, shall we?

Girlz Gone Flav

Of course, we get to relive the fight between H-Town and Saaphyri. We see them argue over the bed, the hair pulling, the fists flying and the names they call one another, but this time, we get the FULL names… no beeps! The best part about this bonus clip is that we get to see when Flav actually breaks them up and lets each one tell their side of the story.

Of course, neither girl makes sense, but it all culminates when Saaphyri tells the camera that she and H-Town were like a white cake and a dark cake. One had sponges inside and the other had strawberries. She was the one with strawberries, but Flav missed out. If you say so!

Adventures Of Toasteee

Okay, in what is probably my favorite bonus feature on the DVD set, we get to see more of my favorite girl of the season, Toasteee! When I say more, most of it is Toasteee getting drunk or already drunk. We see her get her name again, where she says it should have been “The One,” but Toasteee is okay. Although, the crowning moment of this clip is when my girl Toasteee tells Somethin’ that she doesn’t have real boobs, it’s just fat!

Naturally, we see the downfall of Toasteee, when Flav revealed the picture of her in the porno, and then a little interview segment with her where she tries to say it’s not porn, but the woman interviewing her peer pressures her until poor Toasteee rolls over like a puppy and confesses that yes, it’s pornographic. I still miss her!

Booty Shakin’

Since there can never be enough of the girls wagging there a** in men’s faces, we get to see them doing their best booty shakes, with Nibblz and Payshintz leading the way, followed by Toasteee and Deelishis wagging theirs all over the place as well. If you have any interest in booty whatsoever, this is the clip for you. Even the cameramen get a good smile out of this one!

Somethin’ Left Over

Deelishis finds a used, bloody tampon on the soap rack in the shower. Somethin’ claims it’s not hers and flushes it down the toilet, proclaiming that “this time it’s not her.” That’s all I’m going to say about this!

Pimps Make The Call

Flav’s friends give their opinions on the girls after meeting them at the social by the pool. Well, at least, they try to give their opinions. Of course, it’s hard as heck to understand most of them, and to be honest, I think most of what is shown on this clip was in the show!

It’s a pretty funny clip though, and definitely something that I didn’t mind watching again. I’m still laughing from when they told Flav that “Nibblz is loose. You buy yourself a pole and invite over a few friends… Nibblz will make you some money.” Although, I do love that Flav calls the girls “bitches” in this clip. How classy!

Songs That Make You Scream

Oh Lord, I never really wanted to hear Krazy sing ever again. However, we are “treated” to Krazy singing an original song, drunk, while Flav is playing the piano. The only way I can describe the way this sounds is to take a cat and throw it in the microwave, then listen to the sounds it makes. I don’t even think it’s that good! I actually managed to feel awkward during this “performance!”

Call Of The Wild

Here comes Buckwild, and the incident where she gives her clock back to Flav because of New York being asked to join the competition. She interviews about how she wants to beat New York’s a**, and we once again see where Flav confronts Buckwild about her accent disappearing. Buckwild defends herself to the camera during her exit interview, and says that Flav missed out on her, but she just wants to get back in the house to get her “stuff.”
