The Real World: Denver, Episode 27 – Thailand, Here We Come!

The roommates arrive in Thailand and they discuss how many hours it took for them to get there. Stephen tells us that it is the middle of the night and there are people everywhere.

Brooke calls her mom and says that her main concern is staying safe. Fast-forward 12 hours… Colie is holding a huge snake. Seriously, that isn’t a euphemism for sex. The roommates go to a floating market and Jenn interviews that she and Stephen are becoming friends.

Later, the roommates travel to Ko Phangan; it’s famous for its full moon parties. The beaches and the hotel are beautiful. One thing that isn’t beautiful, at least according to Alex, is Colie swimming with no top on. In fact, he gags a little and says he wishes she would cover up. Stephen says that Jenn has nice boobs.

Brooke tells Davis that she’s nervous because the ocean water isn’t clear. She then yelps and claims that something stung her. Davis carries her from the water while everyone makes fun of her. She thinks Alex should pee on her and of course the others encourage it. Colie then takes a turn. We’re treated to a shot of a topless Colie and pee running off of Brooke’s foot. Beautiful.

Brooke interviews about the sexual tension between Jenn and Stephen. That’s boring, so we move on to Colie and Alex. Apparently, he didn’t like the way she spoke to a waiter and called her out on it. She then gives him attitude.

The roommates go to a beach party that night and do a fire walk. Cool… or hot I guess. Even Brooke gets in on the action.

Colie talks to some guys from Australia and then leaves with one of them. Cripes, now we get a shot of her thong showing through her dress. Maybe it’s her bathing suit bottom and a cover-up. Either way… help me, please.

She and her new friend start macking on one another and they go back to the girls’ room. Cue the sex noises and Brooke’s disgust. Jenn says that she just wants to go to bed, but she can’t because of Colie.

The next day, Colie tells everyone she likes the guys from Australia. Alex says that they know because they heard. She acts clueless about it. Put the emphasis on the word “acts.”

Everyone goes snorkeling and Brooke is nervous. If I were Brooke, I’d be more fearful of the sunburn that she’s sporting. Eventually, she gets in the water, but Tyrie has to tell her to go under the water.

Colie and Davis are drunk, and they’re about to ride an elephant. Did I mention that Colie is in her bikini?

The roommates go swimming next. Colie drops her backpack and tries to retrieve it. Instead, she takes a header and whines that she’s really hurt. Alex takes pictures of the entire thing and shows them to Brooke. She then takes a header and lands on her tailbone. Colie is upset because nobody is paying attention to her and her injury. Shut it, Colie. She then aggravates Alex, but he wants no part of it. Good for him.

The roommates spend their last night in Ko Phangan at a moon party. Colie hooks up with her new boy toy again. Brooke tells Jenn that Colie is behaving this way because Alex isn’t giving her any attention.

The next morning, the roommates are talking and apparently Tyrie almost got into a fight at the party. Jenn says something, but a lot of it is bleeped out.

On the boat ride to the mainland, Brooke tosses her cookies. What a lovely way to end the show.

Next week, Jenn reminds us that she and Stephen are growing closer; Davis says something about breaking up with PJ and wanting to be straight; the roommates say goodbye.

And now for my Weekly Observations:

• I hope that no matter what, Colie is safe when it comes to her sex-capades.
• Brooke actually made sense and it scares me.
• After that episode, I really want to go to Thailand!
