Celebrity Fit Club: Men vs. Women, Episode 6 – Pillow Talk

by Tyler Sandersfeld -- 05/29/2007
The fracas from last week is over for the most part, but there’s still unfinished business. Does Kim (right) get her weigh-in? Who will return for Fit Camp? What does everyone have to say about the fracas? Pillow fighting is an official sport?

Previously on Diamond is a Girl’s Worst Friend, pain and annoyance. I don’t feel like recapping it again, so let’s move on.

We’re still at Day 65, and the Screech drama is over. And so is Tiffany’s night. Saying this is “too much of [her] childhood,” Tiffany leaves the building. She collects her pillow and blanket and heads home.

In the holding room, Screech is still suffering from diarrhea of the mouth. He’s even considering sticking around just to tick people off. He’s proud that he can “cause so much turmoil just by speaking.” If there was any sympathy for Screech before that little spiel, it’s gone now. Ross enters to try to talk at least a modicum of sense into Screech, who says he’s the only one unfazed by the whole ordeal. That’s because you caused it! Ross tells him outright that he’s appalled. It’s not easy for Ross to talk with Screech like this because of what he said. Ross still likes Screech as a person, but it’s hard to be on his side.

After Cledus exits the room, Ross reminds Screech that it’s not the world against Screech, it’s Screech against the world. Ross just wants Screech to accept his mistakes. Screech claims he accepted them when he knew he would gain weight for the weigh-in, but no one would listen. That’s because what you’ve said so far has been so unbelievable. Ross told Jay Leno that he has always wanted to be a talk-show host. Somebody get him a talk show NOW! Anyway, Ross is done talking and Screech is done for the night.

The weigh-in continues, sans Screech and Tiffany. Luckily, Kim is the only one to weigh in yet. Previously, she weighed 160 lbs. and received a target of 4 lbs. to lose. She lost 3 lbs. for this weigh-in to weigh 157 lbs. Stacy calls Kim “the push-through, bounce-back girl” for her strong, post-Screech weigh-in. Stacy just wants to celebrate her.

Speaking of celebrating, we get a flashback to Kim at a video shoot. She’s in Nashville, shooting a video for her song, “Change.” Kim is happy with her look and how much weight she has lost. She has always been concerned with looking heavier on television, so now she’ll hopefully look more confident. From what I’ve seen, the video is pretty generic, but considering the generic sound of the song and the generic under-marketing of the album, I guess it fits.

The completion of the video, plus the drama from Screech, cause Kim to shed quite a few tears. Brat snaps her out of her funk by singing part of the song off-key. You see, Screech? Even though Brat can be abrasive at times, she’s still a cool person overall. Kim also knows that she has fans, especially little girls who weren’t too entranced by Clay. She doesn’t want to send the message that it’s okay to let a jerk cause so much hurt. Stacy believes Kim is still a great role model. Kim’s target for next (this?) week is 2 lbs.

It is now Day 71. The celebs arrive in Malibu for a special Fit Camp. Of course, Screech isn’t there, which makes the first task easier for the seven who show up. Stacy gathers the celebs around to talk about the Dust-up. Tiffany is first. She is shocked by the new levels of low he reaches every week. She feels like a traitor if she smiles at him. Brat was understandably angered by Screech’s “give one to Kim” comment, but she didn’t want to say anything because that’s just what Screech wants. Cledus called that out-of-place comment “a slap in seven people’s faces.” Warren just wanted to support his teammate.

Maureen was fine until Screech’s joke about “when retarded people fall, it’s funny.” As you know, Maureen has a retarded brother, so that “joke” hit way too close to home. Kim is disgusted because Screech just wants to draw attention to himself through this show, not to use the program to truly benefit his health. Ross wants to make peace, but the more Screech pushes it, the harder Ross finds that task to be. Maureen wants Screech to return, just so everyone can win. At this point, I don’t think anyone wants Screech to win.

The second task of the day is what they call a “ropes course.” I wouldn’t call a pole climb, a balance beam, and a rope swing a “ropes” course, but whatever. Harvey shows off the course for the seven good celebs and makes it look like a lot of fun. Mo is the first to traverse. She makes the whole shebang look easy. Well, at least until the swing, where she hesitates quite a bit. Warren, on the other hand, makes it look much scarier. He chokes before walking the beam, so he drops down. I hope he at least tries again.

Everyone else does a great job. Although Ro joins Mo in the pre-swing jitters club, he completes the course. He gets “the worst wedgie ever” for his efforts, though. Tiffany and Kim both complete the course without a hitch. Cledus may be afraid of airplanes, but he barely breaks a sweat on the course. Brat, on the other hand, doesn’t even get as far as Warren did when she bails. Funny how two professional rappers, an image associated with toughness, didn’t complete the course.

Oh, it looks like I spoke too soon. Warren attempts to complete the course and redeem himself. This time, he finds his courage and crosses the beam. He’s good to take the giant swing, and… his harness snags on the platform. Ouch! He’s freed, and he’s off for real this time. The rest of the cast can’t even watch. They’re too busy laughing their heads off.

Day 72 has arrived, but Screech hasn’t. The other seven celebs are ready to weigh in, and without Screech around, it might actually be a worry-free evening. It may not be for long, though, since Screech’s plans are not known at the present time. Who wants to bet that he returns to cause more chaos and bad publicity?

However, Screech is not the only one absent. Dr. Ian Smith is at home with his new baby boy. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Smith! No, I don’t mean the movie or the alliance from Big Brother: All-Stars. Anyway, Harvey Walden IV will be the stand-in weight reader this week. Stacy Kaiser is still around as well, so we’re good.

Warren G is first to CWAP in. One week ago, Warren weighed 196 lbs. Because the time in-between weigh-ins was rather short, Warren only had to lose 2 lbs. for this weigh-in. And he did it, weighing 194 lbs. this time around. Nice job! So far, Warren has lost 27 lbs., just 6 lbs. away from his overall goal. Stacy talks about the ropes course and how Warren looked very uncomfortable. That is, before the harness got caught. Warren wanted that second chance, and now he wants a third chance. There’s a bit more time in between weigh-ins this time around, so Warren’s target is a more robust 3 lbs.

Up next is Tiffany. Last week, she weighed 137 lbs. and received a larger 4-lb. target. Tiffany doesn’t think she made the 4-lb. loss. This week, Tiffany weighs 134 lbs., which is still a good 3 lbs. lost. Overall, Tiffany has lost 18 lbs., 7 lbs. away from her goal. Tiffany talks about not wanting to miss her targets, so she’s been working extra hard this week. Stacy asks about her leaving the weigh-in last week. Tiffany felt major discomfort from all the yelling due to experiences as a child. Her house nowadays is a very quiet place, and she doesn’t want her son to grow up as a yeller. Tiffany’s target is once again 4 lbs.
