"The old believe everything; the middle aged suspect everything; the youth know everything."
-- Oscar Wilde

Last week, Mark got a chance to do some of his favorite things with the ladies. He took Maria, Megan, and Mary for a beach date, where Mary and Maria felt ignored. He treated Amanda and Jayanna to a movie night, where both competed for Mark's attention in their own way. He also shared a nice one-on-one date with Jen by taking a ride on a motorcycle and shooting some pool.

Jayanna openly questioned Amanda's real feelings for Mark, while at the elimination ceremony, Maria kept changing her mind, and confusing everybody in the process. At the end, Mary, the girl Mark could not bestow any time upon, was sent home. Who will be the next woman to go? A Cougar or a Kitten?

The women all return from the last elimination ceremony with one thing on their minds... getting plastered. Well, okay, it's just Maria who feels this way, proceeding to ask everyone if they want a shot. I reckon that after the display made at last week's show by you, you may want to define the definition of shot, Maria. Jayanna interviews that Maria even told them that she was going to leave, and that she was set to leave, so she doesn't understand why Maria is still here.

Maria tells the others about her feelings for Mark. She says that when she gets one-on-one time with Mark, it is amazing and that he is genuinely a sweet guy.

Jayanna casually asks Maria what will happen at the next elimination ceremony, and Maria immediately gets defensive. She doesn't know what will happen in the future, only the present. She also feels that when the time is right, Mark will "show up" for her. Jayanna's still baffled by Maria's presence. She wants Maria gone because the thought of her still being in the competition makes her blood boil.

Amanda notices that of the thirteen girls, only five remain. And, of those five, two are Kittens and three are Cougars. She feels outnumbered. Jayanna makes clear her intentions to the camera. Nobody will take her guy away from her.

Jayanna then proceeds to tell all the other women a story. A story about how she sees a little of herself in Mark, and how it makes no sense for her to fall in love in such a short time. Basically, Jayanna is telling the women that she finds that any of them who have fallen for Mark so fast are not being true to their feelings for Mark. I guess we can include you in that assessment, since you yourself have told Mark how much you love him.

The other girls don't seem to be buying what Jayanna's selling either. Megan tells the camera she's a student, and if she wanted to hear a lecture, she'd go to class. Amanda suspects there are other motives in Jayanna's speech, and that she's trying to get the other women disconnected from Mark. She also adds that she can decide what is good for her.

Not Jayanna. Jayanna interviews that at the end of the competition, it won't be a 20-year-old going away with him at the end, and that hearts will be broken. I'm telling you; I really, really HATE cocky Jayanna. Confident Jayanna I can deal with. Cocky Jayanna, not so much.

The women are excited to hear that someone is at the door. They all assume it is Mark. Sure enough, it is Mark... Consuelos (aka Mateo). Mateo hopes that all of the women are good and rested. He says they're used to the V.I.P. treatment with limos and dinners at fancy restaurants. That will all change, because for the next two days, the five women will be joining Mark on a camping trip. All five women cheer and applaud this news, with Jayanna exclaiming that this will be her kind of trip.

Mateo explains that Mark wanted to plan an outdoor getaway so he could separate the women from the girls. Oh, and one more thing. One of the women won't be coming back. That's right. At the end of the trip, one more woman will be cut from the competition. Right there is where Amanda's excitement about the camping trip drops. The girls have 20 minutes to gather their belongings, and we then see a montage of the five women cramming as much stuff as they can into their suitcases.

Mark interviews he has five women left in the competition. He knows that this trip will bring out a side of their personalities he hasn't seen before.

We see Maria packing her suitcase, and she says camping is one of her favorite things to do. She talks about creating yumminess with Mark. Again, I must ask. Is “yumminess” really a word?

Megan and Amanda are chatting with each other, and Megan wonders if they'll have to sleep outside. Well, it is a camping trip. Amanda thinks they'll be sleeping in tents, and that it will be fun. Megan doesn't like bugs, and admits she has zero camping experience. Then she actually changes it to a negative number’s worth of experience.

As we peek in on Jayanna who is smuggling toilet paper into her bags, she says the camping trip works in her favor. The trip is "her kind of thing" and she plans on blowing Mark away. Amanda is counting on Jayanna and Jen opening up their mouths so that Mark can finally see what they're really like and be disgusted by them.

Oh, what a fun camping trip this is starting out to be.

The women and Mark pile into an RV and they drive off to a beautiful campsite in the middle of a huge forest. As Mark and the women hike down the path towards the site, Mark speaks out about his feelings for the women left in the competition.

Megan is a sweetheart. Jayanna impressed him from the start. The more he knows Amanda, the more he loves being with her. Mark finds Maria's honesty a wonderful quality. Honesty?!? Whatever. Finally, he digs Jen, and is very attracted to her.

They reach the campsite, and Mark pours all of the women some wine. He toasts them all to another adventure. They then split up to pitch their tents and start a fire. I honestly wish I had more to write about here, but it's not exactly the most exciting moment.

At least not until Mark tries to start a fire with what appears to be… a flare gun? A high-tech lighter? A stick of dynamite? I don't know. Whatever it is, it doesn't work out that well, and Mark almost burns himself. Ironically enough, Mark asks the women if he has any eyebrows just as Jayanna is being interviewed about how Mark is such a rugged, outdoorsy type. Heh.

Mark grabs Maria shortly afterwards for a walk to collect some firewood. Please. Everyone knows "collecting firewood" is slang for "make-out session." Maria uses this opportunity to continue what she was trying to say at the last elimination before losing her mind in a fit of giggles. She wasn't sure if she said all that she could have said, and she tells Mark that she was committed to going home because he wasn't opening up to her.
