by Jeremy Flynn -- 02/14/2008
Yesterday, the Houseguests had discovered a secret in the house, and some major fighting and drinking took place in its aftermath. How does that affect everyone's strategy? Who gets nominated today? What causes an uproar? What causes lots of tears? And what does Sharon (right) have to do with any of this? Keep reading to find out. Warning: This article contains major spoiler information!

Hello, and welcome to Day 2 of our live feeds for the Big Brother 9: 'Til Death Do You Part house. Much like William yesterday, I'm going to just stick to calling this season Big Brother 9, if for no other reason than my hands will thank me.

Last night, we discovered that Jacob & Sharon have already been evicted, Alex & Amanda have the power in the house right now, and that Jen and Ryan's relationship has been revealed, much to the disgust of their partners, Parker and Allison. Let's see what the aftermath is like today, shall we?

First thing we get, really early in the morning, is the rousing blasts of Ryan's snoring. Allison is none too thrilled with this, and tries to get Ryan to stop snoring by grabbing his arm and shushing him. This works for all of about a minute at a time before Ryan goes back to his old ways. Allison winds up telling him that he snores like a bullhorn before going back to sleep herself.

Around 8:00 am, Sheila wakes up and starts her day off with a shower, followed by makeup, then a coffee break before heading into the kitchen to clean up the dishes from last night's drunken brawl. She has lots of time to herself, as the next pair to remotely wake up are the current Heads of Household, Alex & Amanda, who start cuddling and spooning in bed in their room.

At 9:30 am, Big Brother sends a wake-up call to the houseguests, which many ignore, but not Neil & Joshuah, who take a few minutes to brush their teeth, mock Big Brother (Joshuah: "Good morning, houseguests. It's time to stab one another in the back!"), and listen to Matt tell them about a dream he'd had. Apparently, he dreamed that he'd watched the prior night's show and had found out secrets about all of them. (Note to Matt: Generally speaking, people really don't care that much about your dreams. Just in case you were wondering.)

Shortly after 10:00 am, Parker and Matt decide to take matters into their own hands by grabbing some pillows and smacking the sleeping houseguests with the pillows until they wake up. Great strategy, guys! Annoy your fellow houseguests when nominations are due that day, which the houseguests are notified of via a message on the plasma TV in the living room. Parker then compounds the problem by talking poorly about other cities and states in the U.S., such as the entire Midwest area of the country. Parker feels that it "[s]ucks to be [them]", and that they should just up and move. He also believes that Chicago, Illinois, is cold and dirty. You know, he's seriously not helping his case out by shoving his foot in his mouth, is he?

The guests filter around the house for a few minutes, until Big Brother calls for an indoor lockdown. The guests speculate what could be going on outside and try to keep themselves busy by making breakfast, washing more dishes, and, in Jen's case, getting into a wrestling match with Ryan. However, Jen apparently breaks one of her nails pretty badly. In addition, she soon finds out that she can't operate the coffee machine, and then breaks her microphone pack. Jen apparently isn't the type of person you would want to have watch your priceless possessions, now would you?

In the spa room, Sheila discusses her past history, including a couple of her movie credits with Jen, Ryan, Natalie, and Amanda. Natalie then shares the story of how her work as a stripper was discovered... by her uncle. As much as I hated him last season, Joe's catchphrase seems appropriate: Awk-ward! Amanda, like, also tells, like, a story where, like, she keeps using the word "like," like, inappropriately, like, throughout. I, like, want to strangle her and her English teacher.

Adam decides to join the rest of the world around 1:00 pm by waking up! Morn...err, afternoon, Adam! Thanks for bothering! Around the same time, the strategy talk in the house kicks into high gear. Parker, in the room with the boat-shaped beds, tells Matt that he knew Jen and Ryan were dating, and that he felt really upset about evicting Jacob & Sharon because they'd not been honest about their prior relationship. In another room, Amanda and Jen discuss the possible use of the Power of Veto, with Jen saying that it might not help to use it, because the team that does would probably go back up on the block the following week. Interestingly, Jen then states that, if Ryan & Allison are nominated and she & Parker aren't, she'll vote out her boyfriend. (Apparently, Jen is there to play, romantic angles be damned.)

Around 1:30 pm, Parker & Jen pull Sheila aside to get her to swear not to vote them out. She agrees, but then states that it's only for this week, because they'd saved her & Adam last week. (Earlier, Amanda confirmed that they had moved in last Thursday, and that Sharon & Jacob had been evicted late Saturday night.) Sheila then goes downstairs to make sure that Matt & Natalie are on the same page. Right after that, Allison catches Sheila's attention upstairs, by the chessboard, where Allison says that she & Ryan have enough votes to stay in the house, if they were put up against Parker & Jen. She then tells Sheila that she has Sheila's back, and that Jen & Parker's alliance (which all I can figure contains six people, but none of those six are Ryan) are messing with Sheila's head. At this point, my head is spinning, and I'm not even in the house.

Shortly after 2:00 pm, Ryan reminds Sheila that she's in his alliance, because she's upset that he's campaigning against his girlfriend, which has apparently become a huge point of contention in the house. "You came in this house for Jen", she says, which he then (rightly) turns around and says that Jen is trying to get him voted out, so what's wrong with him playing the game? Allison joins them and they try to determine where the rumor got started that he didn't care what happened in the game. Joshuah then walks into the room, and he and Sheila start a verbal fight with one another, with him accusing her of stirring the pot and playing the age card, and her accusing him of threatening her.

Just before 3:00 pm, Ryan and Jen get into a huge argument about whether or not they're playing for themselves. Jen says she can't trust Ryan and that he's campaigning to vote her out (which he is, but she's campaigning to vote him out, so... Pot, meet your rival, Kettle). He then claims that he's not and wants to know if she expects him to just "lie down" for her. Jen tells him that she can't play with him in the house and then runs to Amanda to tell her to put Ryan up so she can vote him out.

The feeds change over to trivia at 3:00 pm, and when they come back up just before 5:00 pm, it appears the nomination ceremony has taken place, with the two nominated pairs being Parker & Jen and Ryan & Allison. Parker & Jen and Matt & Amanda are in the HoH bedroom, eating candy and reading jokes off of the wrappers to one another. Interestingly enough, the body language between Parker and Amanda indicates there may be some interest between the two of them.

At 5:00 pm, the feeds go back to trivia for an unknown reason, and come back up around 6:00 pm. Shortly thereafter, Amanda screams at the camera about her belts being missing... which then turn up in the wrong drawer. The group soon decides to play charades, and it appears that Matt is not the best person to put in front. His attempt to get the group to guess "Melrose Place" goes absolutely nowhere. Unfortunately, Adam's hand does go somewhere... down the front of his pants. Also around to the back, and his finger decides to go up his nose at one point. Yikes.
