Big Brother 9, March 14 Live Feeds: Watch Your Mouthby Jeffrey Clinard -- 03/15/2008
View Printable version of this article – Max Webb, Nowhere Man “Here’s what happened.” Good morning, houseguests! It’s 8:00 a.m. and Big Brother tells everybody to get out of bed for the day. Some of the houseguests crawl out of bed and start doing morning stuff, such as showering, shaving, and eating breakfast. Natalie and Sharon feed the guinea pigs and ponder the puzzle. Natalie just loves them; she says so as she feeds them chopped peppers. Sheila and Ryan brush their teeth and pump each other up, saying that they could turn things around. Anything is possible, I guess. Ryan takes a moment to study the puzzle in the guinea pig cage and goes back to lie in bed. Adam still hasn’t gotten up, and still doesn’t move when Natalie changes her bra in the room. Finally, Big Brother demands Adam, Matt, and James (up in the HOH room) get up for the day. They do. Adam has dreamt about the power of veto (POV) competition, but declines to disclose the result. He also can’t believe the women are still sore from the HOH competition. Sheila notes it might be because he only lasted five minutes. Adam screams that it’s ON several times while Matt and Ryan try to go back to bed. Natalie and Sheila ponder the veto competition as they listen to the construction outside. Sheila believes that it is going to be based on the puzzle in the rodent cage. Adam eats cereal, Sheila washes dishes. Matt climbs into bed with Natalie and asks her to help Sheila study for the veto competition. She replies that her brain isn’t big enough for the both of them. At least she knows her limitations. Feeds go out for a bit, and when they return the players have been picked for the veto competition. Aside from HOH James and nominees Ryan and Sheila, Joshuah, Chelsia, and Matt have been picked to play. Natalie is hosting. Chelsia gives James a massage while Sharon and Joshuah talk in their bed. Most of the others go to bed, and somebody falls asleep and starts snoring. Sheila cries for a bit in her bed. Finally, Big Brother puts them in a lockdown in the HOH bedroom before he starts the veto competition. The feeds go out for about three hours, and when they return we learn James has won the POV – just like he said he would after winning HOH. The competition seems to have featured a houseguest-sized guinea pig cage, complete with wood shavings. James plans to keep the nominations the same. Natalie assures him that she’ll warn him if somebody is coming after him. Uh huh, if a houseguest wants something known by everybody, all they have to do is either tell Natalie, or use her nail polish to paint it on the bathroom mirror. James says he’ll keep his word to her (from the end of the HOH competition, where he promised not to put her or Matt up). Adam and Matt each kill time by reading the Bible, while Sheila does some more crying and Natalie and Sharon plan a dinner of steaks, potatoes, and carrots. James and Chelsia talk in the HOH bedroom, with James planning to evict Ryan if he has to cast a tiebreaker vote. He notes that Sheila did better than Ryan in the veto competition. They end up showering together in the HOH bedroom. She reminds him there are condoms downstairs. Afterwards, they talk more about the game and discount the chance of Sheila winning the game from the start due to her age. I have no idea where they have been; I’ve heard more talk about how Sheila is doing this for her stupid book than I can take. They mock Sharon’s campaigning some. James grabs a beer and they share it, and he talks about the Tour de France, and the history of beer, then starts snuggling up. Joshuah and Sharon agree to vote out Ryan, while Matt and Natalie agree they should take out Sheila. They plan to work on Joshuah, playing on his personal dislike of Sheila. Big Brother takes the house off of indoor lockdown, and several go outside to catch sun. Sheila asks to talk to James. She congratulates him on winning the veto. He tells her the nominations are going to remain the same. They talk about Joshuah, with Sheila saying that people aren’t nominating him because he’s a target, and HOHs want to leave targets other than themselves around for next week. James asks why everybody is protecting Matt. Sheila doesn’t know, but Matt did save her. She notes that Adam flip-flops a lot. She then tells James her son is a lot like him with unusual dress. She relates to her son more than most people in the house. She rambles on about how her son’s girlfriend is of Korean descent, and how they want to go to Japan. James has his own opinions. He thinks backdooring is unnecessary if you play hard for the POV, and that Chelsia is hurting his game. However, he will turn on her if he has to. Sheila says she wanted James to win the POV (yeah, right), and that Matt would have used the POV on Ryan if he won it. James says Adam would not have been his replacement nominee. Sheila notes that Matt is sweating bullets. Their conversation breaks up, and James bums a cigarette off of Adam, then plays pool with Matt. After the game, Matt goes off to join Natalie. Matt says he didn’t expect to be out of the veto competition so quickly, but is also glad he didn’t win POV (uh, it keeps you safe – that’s a good reason to win it). They both lobby Sharon to keep Ryan and evict Sheila, until she walks in and starts campaigning for herself over Ryan. Sheila points out that Ryan already won $10,000, and that she’s going to campaign without excuses. Natalie wants to defer a decision until after the veto meeting. 1 2 3 Next-->View Printable version of this article |
