Dancing With the Stars 6, March 31: I Can’t Tell a Waltz From a Tango

They’re doing the tango to “I Can’t Tell a Waltz From a Tango.” The dance begins with Adam in the audience handing Bruno a rose. Adam really tries his best; he actually does a nice job. His technique isn’t perfect, but he is lighter on his feet than in previous weeks.

Carrie Ann tells Adam he was sexy on the dance floor. I gag a little. Bruno says Adam is getting better. Len gives Julianne props for her choreography; it covered up Adam’s mistakes.

All of the judges give Julianne & Adam a seven. The couple has 21 points.

Backstage, Adam jokes about Mormons and then claims he thought Julianne was Jewish. The fun never ends.

The next couple on the dance floor is Marissa & Tony. Tony tells jokes during practice; they’re bad. Marissa tries to figure out how someone becomes the bad boy of ballroom dancing.

They are dancing the jive to “Girlfriend.” Tony choreographed a nice dance for Marissa, but it isn’t as energetic as Shannon & Derek’s dance. It seems to be lacking pizzazz.

Len says the dance was too careful. Carrie Ann and Tony argue a bit. Bruno feels that Marissa held back.

Carrie Ann and Bruno give the couple a six. Len gives it a seven. Marissa & Tony have 19 points. Marissa says a naughty.

Priscilla & Louis are ready with their performance. Priscilla gets to use her acting ability with tonight’s dance. She also wants to be perfect.

They are doing the tango to an instrumental piece. Priscilla seems well suited for the dance. She emotes passion and drama during the performance. I said earlier I don’t enjoy watching the tango; I think Priscilla & Louis could change that for me.

Bruno says Priscilla did a great job. Len says a lot that basically boils down to, “Great.” Carrie Ann tells Priscilla she was mesmerized.

Carrie Ann awards the dance an eight. Len and Bruno give it a nine. Priscilla & Louis have 26 points.

The next team is Edyta & Jason. Jason tells Edyta he is like a deer in the headlights. He also says he’s training as hard as he can.

They’re dancing the jive to “I Got a Woman.” Jason looks at the floor a lot and some of his footwork is heavy; however, his hip action is fantastic. Prrrrrrr. He also does a nice job of keeping up with Edyta.

Carrie Ann is amazed by the way Jason moves. Bruno says the dance was restrained and powerful. Len feels Jason’s kicks were weak.

Carrie Ann and Bruno give the dance an eight while Len gives it a seven. Edyta & Jason have 23 points.

The final performance of the evening is courtesy of Kristi & Mark. Mark takes Kristi to see a performance coach in order for her to show her emotions during the dance.

They are performing the tango to “Rio.” Kristi does an excellent job. Her expression fits the dance and her movements are controlled.

Len says he liked the dance very much. Carrie Ann calls Kristi’s technique amazing, but says her anger was one-dimensional. Bruno wants Kristi to be a dirty girl. She exposes her leg to him.

All of the judges give the dance a nine for a total of 27 points.
