Dancing with the Stars 6, April 21: Let’s Get It On

They are dancing the Viennese waltz to “Delilah.” The routine is great; Tony outdid himself. Marissa looks elegant… until Tony spins her. I really dig this dance.

Bruno describes some of the moves the couple performed. He finally says he liked the dance. Carrie Ann is in agreement. Len calls Marissa a princess.

Carrie Ann and Bruno award the dance a nine. Marissa & Tony go crazy. Oh, and Len gives it an eight. The couple has 26 points.

The next dance is performed by Kristi and Mark. The couple performs for Tiger Woods. Nice. Kristi tells us that she was born with clubfeet. She talks about the issues she’s had to overcome.

They’re doing the jive to “Rip It Up.” Mark is sporting nerd glasses. Kristi is as cute as ever. The dance is energetic and fun. While watching Kristi, I sometimes forget that she isn’t a professional dancer. She looks that poised and precise tonight.

Carrie Ann says, “Hell, yeah!” Len says, “Yum, yum.” Bruno doesn’t say anything funny, but he does love the dance.

The judges all give the dance a goober; it’s the first triple goober of the season and is well deserved.

Paula Abdul is in the audience. OK, then.

The last couple to perform a solo dance this evening is Karina & Mario. Mario tells Kristi to watch out; he’s catching up to her. Mario promises to bring sexy back. I’m currently bringing chubby back. Mario talks to his brother on the telephone. The little guy is simply adorable.

They are doing the rumba to “Let’s Get It On.” The dance begins with Mario unbuttoning his shirt. It only gets hotter from there. I think Karina could scramble eggs and it would be hot! While the dance is passionate, I feel that there isn’t enough substance to it. But then again, what do I know; I’m now thinking about scrambling up a couple of eggs.

Len says he doesn’t want anyone to get it on in the ballroom. Bruno tells Len he’s getting crusty and stiff again. He also says something that gets bleeped. Let’s just say he talks about needing an ice bucket. Carrie Ann says the dance was better than good sex. She also says she’s docking the couple for a lift.

Do I smell a “too hot for TV” version of Dancing with the Stars?

Carrie Ann and Len give the dance a nine. Bruno gives it a smoking ten. Karina & Mario have 28 points. Mario says he won’t cry!

We see clips of the couples practicing for their group dance. Some of the performers will be sheriffs and some will be outlaws. I played that game once in college, but we won’t share that here.

The couples dance to “Cotton-Eyed Joe.” Everyone performs a serious of lifts and crazy moves. The dance is, um, interesting. The judges voice their opinions on the routine, but don’t score it.

Tom and Samantha review the dances and standings.
