Big Brother 6, August 6: Vote for Kaysar!

by Mike DeGeorge -- 08/07/2005
Howie is your new Head of Household, and it's no secret that he's pretty upset about James promising Ivette that he would put him and Rachel on the block. Will Howie try to checkmate Sarah and James, at right? Will he seek revenge for Kaysar's eviction? Or will he do something totally unexpected? And why is Rachel mad at him? Find out inside!

Thursday, a lot of things happened. You can read my column to find out what. Or just watch the show and they’ll tell you about six times in a row.

As Head of Household last week, Maggie wanted to eliminate a strong strategic player. She thinks did that. Howie says they lost a tremendous ally and friend. They all loved him. Sarah says saying goodbye was hard, that he deserved more votes. Then why didn’t you vote for him to stay? Janelle says Kaysar was polite and considerate, and they were all sad to see him go.

Howie wins HOH, which we saw two minutes ago, and Janelle pops out of her top, which we don’t see. Rachel says she knew how much he wanted it and paused at the finals. Howie congratulates himself. James is glad, because if everyone keeps their word, he won’t have to compete for veto again. Keeping your word. What a concept, James! I didn’t know you were familiar with it. Maggie doesn’t know who he will nominate. April says it was interesting because the competition showed who was with who. Because it was such a huge secret.

Maggie and her crew thinks they’re screwed. She thinks Howie might try to avenge Kaysar’s eviction. Flashback to Ivette kicking James out of the HOH competition. She’s afraid he will be mad at her for it. Maggie is worried that is blows their cover, because they are assuming that James still thinks he is on their side. James complains that he saved her two weeks ago, yet she kicked him out before he kicked off Janelle.

Howie says that one houseguest coming back changes the game. Maggie wants Eric back. Duh. Janelle wants Michael or Kaysar.

Rachel is afraid that Eric coming back in the house would be a bad thing for them. Howie worries that Eric thinks he was partially responsible for evicting him, and he probably was. Rachel thinks Maggie needs to go, because they need to negate the possibility of her and Eric getting back together. I admit, that would be funny to have Maggie leave and Eric return on the same show.

James wants to nominate Maggie and April, he doesn’t like either of them. Howie points out to us that when James was on the block, he offered Howie and Rachel to save himself, so he doesn’t think he can take his advice. All of a sudden, they’re nicer to him. He says James and Sarah should be worried.

Howie shows them his HOH room. He screams for Kaysar to come upstairs, which is funny in a sick way. You can vote to bring Kaysar back, by the way. Vote Kaysar! He opens his room. There are squeals before they even figure out what’s in the basket. Unless they have telescopic vision or something.

Howie gets lots of junk food, and cherry coke, the last of which brings him up another notch in my mind. He gets a pair of black speedos, which makes the girls squeal more. Ivette wants to see him in the speedo. The girls love his pictures of his stripping days (!!) and say he looks exactly like his mom and sister. He’s upset he didn’t get his light saber. Maybe next time.

Later, Howie says if they put up James & Sarah, one of them is going, guaranteed. Janelle suggests Maggie. Rachel says maybe they can backdoor him, that’s fine, but if Sarah stays, she’ll be against them. And if Eric comes back the numbers are against them. It’s not a numbers game, people! Geez!

James is his target, though, because he’s the most dominant player in Big Brother history. Rachel says screwing Maggie will give them potentially six players to their four. The odds are better getting one of the Fellowship out.

In the HOH room, Howie says he’s not sure who to trust anymore. He asks April and Jen if they trust Maggie. They say yes. He asks, saaaay, James and Sarah. April goes on a rant, confirming the Bible story (half of it anyway), how they’ve lied to everyone, and concludes that the house won’t be as divided and she’d like to kick him in the nuts.

Beau and Ivette say basically the same thing, suggesting that he put up James and Sarah. Howie cuts a deal with them, saying that if Howie nominates J&S, they’d get rid of the other one the next week.

James comes in and Ivette & Beau scatter. Howie tells James that they told Howie that James was on their side, and that he was gunning for Howie. He acts like he doesn’t believe it and James acts like it’s the most ridiculous thing. In the diary room, James says he likes what he heard from Howie. Howie tells us that they’re his biggest enemies in the game, but also his allies.

Rachel has never liked James, but she thinks there are bigger threats in the house. James thinks that with Maggie gone, the Fellowship of the Dull are nothing. I thought they said that about Eric two weeks ago. In the diary room, he says that he doesn’t care about Eric coming back because he’ll send him right back out. In the HOH room, he says that if Eric comes back, they have to make sure their alliance doesn’t break. Rachel knows that if Eric came back, he’d be gunning for James, which keeps her and Howie safe.
